  1. Those Terrains are so cool. My aunt wants one, but my cousin/her daughter is trying to talk her into a new Compass or Patriot. Bleh on the Compass!

Why in god's name would they even consider telling her to get an inferior vehicle??

Some people actually like Jeeps. Go figure.

Compass is a POS. Used to drive one often at my old job and a FWD Jeep isn't a real Jeep.

    Just my two cents.

  2. Step one: quit putting out cheap-looking designs with cartoonish elements and obviously cheap interior materials. That'll go a really long way. Everything about Ford design is very flat across all their brands--look at the taillights of the MKZ provided: very little depth or detailing, oversized, cartoonish housings that don't look particularly rich or luxurious, very generic, plain sheetmetal design with little in the way of surface detailing, and where's the greenhouse surround brightwork? CHEAP

Oh, and Lincolns need to offer something better than what you can get at Ford in terms of driveability.

Amen, but it seems like Ford is more concerned about their own brand vs. giving Lincoln some exclusivity.

  3. Looks like a big, sensory deprivation tank with sizable overhangs. The interior shape is a bit similar to the DTS, but with the A/C vents on top of the center stack. The wheels are probably just for the test car, unlikely that wheels like that with low profile tires would be fitted on a car like this. This car looks DTS size, with a more upright front end and the grille looks STS-like. So far I see a car for 70 year olds.

when a real S-Class fighter is made in the future.

    IF.

Yes because a car made for old folks will have Brembo brakes on it...

Do you ever grow tired of talking out of your ass or have you just learned to accept your limited intelligence?

  4. Which begs the question... why isn't most of what's being done to the Eco model standard on all Cruzes? Especially stuff that is cost neutral or has a minimal effect on cost...

Eg. Less openings in the upper grill? That doesn't cost anything. Thinner gauge steel and narrower flanges? Costs zero, may even save a few bucks. An extended front air dam strip? Cost zero. Underbody tray? Costs a few bucks, but a piece of unpainted plastic or two really doesn't cost that much. Spoiler? OK make that an option. Light weight alloy wheels? OK, I'll drop that but everything else looks like they should be standardized.

They really ought to give the Eco Model something significant -- like a clutched automatic (ala M-B AMG), a dual clutch gearbox (don't develop one if they can't afford to, go buy Bord-Warner's off the shelf box like VW-Audi did) or a DI version of the 1.4T with higher compression. Dumbing down the standard ones to make the Eco stand out is... well... rather foolish.

Eco or not, the overwhelming majority of Americans don't buy Manuals -- they don't even know how to drive one. And, those who do? They are performance junkies not eco freaks.

Because then all Cruzes wouldn't have the Z watts suspension or any of the other goodies.

  5. I'm on it, and I too used to be one of those who thought it was a waste of time.

However being that I'm 1500+ miles away from my family and old friends it's a great way to keep in touch.

Oh and I get a chance to post statuses on there that make me look like an asshole :alcoholic:

  6. You people are just biased. Foreign cars for years have always had a better relibility then american. Yes I like Buicks and they are good cars. But fact is fact and american cars are not built to the same quality as a forgien brand.

Did you eat paint chips as a kid?
