  1. When I was driving the 2020 Lexus GS in late February, rumors were flying around that the model would be discontinued at the end of the model year. There was some credence to this rumor as sales had been falling and Lexus hasn’t been updating the model to keep it somewhat up to date with competitors. It would sometime later that we learned that the GS would be going away at the end. So this is the last look at a sedan that I liked at the beginning but now have some mixed feelings. Not much has changed in the overall design of the GS since our last review in 2018. The F-Sport has its tw

  3. Lexus finds itself in a bit of a bind. With demand for crossovers growing, Lexus is doing a serious look at its product lineup and deciding what needs to be added and what needs to taken out. "We're more focused on maximizing the opportunities we have than comparing ourselves," said David Christ, the new general manager for Lexus to Automotive News. "Our product plan is what I would call a work in progress." The current focus for Lexus is the upcoming launches of the ES and the subcompact UX crossover. The ES is expected to keep current Lexus owners happy, but the new F-Sport pa

  5. The Buick Regal GS has been one of the worst-kept secrets in quite awhile. We learned many of the key details such as the powertrain and how it would look months only a short time after Buick debut the Regal Sportback and Tourx. Today, Buick has finally unveiled the 2018 Regal GS and given out the juicy details. First up, the Regal GS will use a variant of the 3.6L V6 that powers a number of GM vehicles. Output is rated at 310 horsepower and 282 pound-feet of torque - an increase of 61 horsepower and a decrease of 13 lb-ft when compared to the turbo 2.0L used in the current GS. Power goes

  7. It was at the 2011 Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance where Lexus introduced us to the fourth-generation GS sedan. Well, Lexus has chosen Pebble Beach once again to introduce us to updated GS. The big news for the GS is a new base GS 200t. As the name suggests, this new trim gets Lexus' turbocharged 2.0L four-cylinder with 241 horsepower and 258 pound-feet of torque. Paired with an eight-speed automatic, Lexus says the GS 200t will get 33 MPG combined. Along with the new turbo-four, Lexus is also giving the GS 350 a slight boost in power. The 350's V6 will now produce 311 horsepower and 280

  9. http://www.motortrend.com/news/comparison-audi-s6-4-0t-quattro-vs-cadillac-cts-v-sport-vs-lexus-gs-f/ To sum up, the Cadillac won very well, and it stood the test of time. Mainly, it was about delivering a solid blend of luxury and performance. And the Cadillac did it all, at a great price. I think that's what is great about the win. The Merecedes E Class was excluded because it's due to be replaced and the 5 Series didn't represent Europe as well as the A6. I think it shows maturity with design, that it can hold up after a few years pass by and the competitors try to catch up.
  10. Last month we showed you a teaser picture of the a coming performance Lexus model, yet at the time Lexus did not release the name. If you guessed it was a GS-F, congratulations, you win the prize. Ahead of the Detroit Auto Show next week, Lexus has taken the wraps off of the 2016 Lexus GS-F. Joining the Lexus IS-F and RC-F, Lexus's F-Performance line is positioned to take on competition from Mercedes' AMG, BMW's M, and Cadillac's V-series cars. The GS-F will come with a 467 horsepower, naturally aspirated V8 that uses both Otto and Atkinson cycles to alternate between power and efficiency as

  12. It has been almost three years since our last report on the Lexus GS F. At that time, we reported that the model would use a detuned version of the LF-A's V10 engine with 500+ horsepower. Nothing came of that rumor, but a new one has come across our rumorpile desk. Autocar has learned from sources that GS F is still incoming and will use a tuned version of the 5.0L V8 found the upcoming RC F Coupe producing somewhere in the range of 500 horsepower and 400 pound-feet of torque. This will be paired up to a eight-speed automatic and Torsen differential. The run to 60 MPH is expected to be in the

  14. William Maley Staff Writer - CheersandGears.com November 29, 2013 One of the big things that we have been wondering since the introduction of the Buick Regal GS is if the Regal would be the only model in Buick's lineup to have a GS model or could there be more. According to Car and Driver, there might be more GS models. Ed Welburn, General Motors’ vice president of global design tells Car and Driver that more GS models could be on the way to help bolster Buick's performance cred. The most likely candidates for this would be the Verano and LaCrosse. Source: Car and Driver William Maley i

  16. By William Maley Staff Writer - CheersandGears.com March 26, 2013 Alongside the 2014 LaCrosse, Buick is also showing the new 2014 Regal at the New York Auto Show this week. The 2014 Regal's exterior gets minor changes including a reworked front fascia, scalloped headlights, and a full-width chrome strip spanning between the new LED taillights. Regal GS models get a more agressive front and rear end treatments, and nineteen-inch alloy wheels as standard equipment. Inside, Buick got rid of the button-laden center stack and in its place is a eight-inch touchscreen housing Buick's IntelliLi
