The 5.3-liter EcoTec3 V8 engine fills the engine bay of the 2014 Silverado LTZ Z71, producing 355 horsepower and 383 lb-ft of torque. The EcoTec3 generation introduced cylinder deactivation and direct injection to the Silverado's small-block V8 lineup for improved fuel economy.
