    Engine Conversion

    2.7 to 3.5 HO swap

    Parts Cost: $945.00 | Install Cost: $1,100.00 | Rating: 5/5
Notes: The biggest mod by far is my upgrade from the base 2.7L engine to the most powerful engine in the LH lineup (besides the 300M Special's engine, which didn't exist until `02), the 3.5 High Output V6. With a 25% power increase, the car has a lot mor

    300M Leather Upgrade

Replace Cloth Seats with Leather Seats

    Parts Cost: $120.00 | Install Cost: $0.00 | Rating: 5/5
Notes: I never was big on leather until I sat in a 300M and realized just how much more comfortable its seat s were than my cloth ones (a combination of the leather and different shape). Got a set of Agate leather seats and a leather armrest from a `99 300M from

    Wheel Upgade

    Steelies to Alloys

    Parts Cost: $200.00 | Install Cost: $0.00 | Rating: 5/5
Notes: As far as the exterior goes, the biggest cosmetic upgrade was from the stock 16" steelies to 18" Mille Miglia Uno wheels. I love the way they look, both in terms of design and how they fill out the wheel wells. Plus they're not so big as to

OTIS + Auto dimming mirror install

    Gadget upgrade!

    Parts Cost: $0.00 | Install Cost: $0.00 | Rating: 4/5
Notes: Got an Overhead Travel Information System and an auto dimming at the yard the same day I got the seats. Since it was all you can carry day, anything besides the seats (my main goal) I consider free.

Had it for about a year, but at the New Engla

    New Gauge Cluster

    Gauge cluster swap

    Parts Cost: $0.00 | Install Cost: $0.00 | Rating: 4/5
Notes: Another find from all you can carry day, this gauge cluster is from a `00 Chrysler Concorde. I prefer it to the Intrepid gauges because I feel the the chrome rings help to brighten up the cabin and add a touch of class.

    Installation was easy, j

    Chrome Accents

    Door handles + switches

    Parts Cost: $50.00 | Install Cost: $0.00 | Rating: 5/5
Notes: Most 300M's, LHS' and later Concordes had chrome door handles. Some 300M's and LHS' had chrome window and door lock switches. It took some time but I managed to gather together a complete set for my car.

    This mod really helps to

    Chrome Shifter

    Rare Part Find

    Parts Cost: $0.00 | Install Cost: $0.00 | Rating: 5/5
Notes: While at the junkyard with a friend who was getting the power folding mirrors out of a 300M I happened to be glancing into its interior when my eyes landed on one of the very rare chrome shifters. These were made only in `01 for a few months for 300M'

    Automatic Lights

    More gadgets!

    Parts Cost: $0.00 | Install Cost: $0.00 | Rating: 5/5
Notes: Another set of goodies I got from all you can carry day, I got the switch as well as the sensor, which happily is all that's needed for this mod. The wiring is already there, so its just a matter of taking the dash panels off , swapping the headlight

    Custom Painted Intake Plenum

    Parts Cost: $15.00 | Install Cost: $0.00 | Rating: 4/5
Notes: One of the issues I discovered when the 3.5 was installed was that there was a crack in the intake plenum at the base of the PCV valve stem. Attempted to patch it failed, so I went back to the yard I got the engine from to get a replacement.

    Bushing Replacement

    Inner tie rod replacement/upgrade

    Parts Cost: $8.99 | Install Cost: $0.00 | Rating: 5/5
Notes: Finally got around to replacing the inner tie rod bushings. I've known there was an issue for a while but since the car spent most of the year waiting for its engine upgrade I didn't do it sooner. I bought a Moog inner tie rod bushing kit, which

    Driver's Door Replacement

    Replacing the driver's door

    Parts Cost: $5.00 | Install Cost: $0.00 | Rating: 5/5
Notes: Decided to finally do something about that dented driver's door. Had a spare lying around and with the help of a friend who used to work in the detailing business, we touched it up and I installed it. Looks so much better now. Since I already had the

I bought this car November 22, 2006. From the moment I came across it, stepped inside and test drove it, I knew this would be my car. It's my very first car purchase as well as being the first car to be solely in my name.

Since I bought it, it has taken me on many adventures, including halfway across the country. Over the past year or so I have done many modifications and upgrades to it, the biggest one being the upgrade from the 2.7 to the 3.5 HO V6.

I love my Intrepid to death and will keep it with me forever.

How did the 3.5 swap end up? Would you do it again?
