  1. I can see this being a hit and will force Chrysler to move forward with a modern EV update to their Minivan as will the asian brands that still build minivans.
  2. Not bad looking, I have to assume the interior will be the same as the current trucks which would be a shame as they could have taken it next level. At least they have given a decent suspension system.
  3. Kicking off the June spotting thread with an Imperial Crown that has a 1963 license plate.
  4. How do you explain that the Pryamid angle of the truck and especially the bed means there is NOTHING out there from a bed camper to a 5th wheel that can work with this truck as it is NOT standard in anyway. On top of this, basic uses of a truck require a flat bed area which this does not have. Then you also have the same problem as the Rivian, a Unibody bed which means unlike the Ford, you cannot just simply replace the bed when it has damage. Cybertruck will have the same extreme costs to repair as Rivian. Damage can be small, but repair of this Unibody truck will be expensive. 5. A few statements from both Tesla and Tesla Fan sites. These Cybertruck buyers have never owned a pickup truck. The bulk are new to the pickup truck market. Those that had Cybertruck reservations have become Ford or Rivian Pickup buyers as they got there first. Course we the public have no real knowledge of how many refunds have been made to date against the Cybertruck nor how many actual reservations Tesla has. Tesla on their investment day and battery day have clearly stated that they will start with top end fully equipped Cybertruck orders first, so 6 figure trucks that are no different than a GMC Hummer Pickup or the F150 Lighting Launch edition or what is know as the Launch Edition for the Chevrolet Silverado or GMC Sierra Launch Edition. All 6 figure trucks. GM and Ford like Rivian will get to 5 figure trucks far faster than Tesla which has proven they truly have NO INTEREST in building cheap EVs. I doubt you will see a Cybertruck below 70-80 thousand dollars before 2026 when GM and Ford as well as Ram will be shipping their commercial EV editions. On top of this, the Cybertruck will be a FAILURE as it is not a Real Truck but a Unibody Honda Ridgeline competitor that will not be able to haul the bulk of todays 5th wheels and other trailers as it was never designed or intended to support the real truck market. Yes Tesla Fans will buy it, but the bulk of the truck market will not buy Tesla.
  6. @oldshurst442 @ccap41 @surreal1272 @trinacriabob @NINETY EIGHT REGENCY @Drew Dowdell Seems Hyundai has decided to move forward with the 2 door Pony car concept as an actual street car. https://www.hagerty.com/media/news/hyundai-n-vision-74-is-go-for-launch-report/ https://news.mt.co.kr/mtview.php?no=2023050808323469185 Seems facial recognition is a go for Genesis EVs plus much more tech for security and more. https://electrek.co/2023/05/31/genesis-brings-facial-recognition-cool-new-features-evs/
  7. Good read: https://moparinsiders.com/dodge-charger-daytona-srt-banshee-continues-to-push-forward/ Also released by Chevrolet, the ZR2 Bison ? extreme off-road truck. https://media.chevrolet.com/media/us/en/chevrolet/vehicles/colorado-zr2/2024.html New standard safety for GM EVs. https://pressroom.gm.com/gmbx/us/en/pressroom/home/news.detail.html/Pages/news/us/en/2023/may/0531-safety.html SRT Banshee is refined and being shown to the public again.
  8. This study has some valid thoughts, but is wrong saying it applies to the whole nation. Being a California influenced study, yes in southern states it makes sense to probably recharge during the day. PNW it does not as hydro and wind is the big power source and here power consumption during the day is higher than at night. https://www.thebrighterside.news/post/stanford-study-warns-against-overnight-charging-of-electric-cars-at-home
  9. Lovely wagon, amazing most old autos here in Canada are rusted out, but this is sexy wagon.
  10. Very good read for those interested in batterybtech. https://ts2.space/en/solid-state-battery-technology/ Damn, this is close for the Rivian pickup.
  11. Bigger is better IMHO. I love my Galaxy 23 Ultra. I cannot think of having a phone without a stylus and big screen for my big hands. I get that for some the Pro Max is a bit too big, but both the Pro that my son has and the pro max that my daughter has they love it. All the best to you Robert with your new iPhone. Enjoy the realestate.
  12. Is this the actual move into your new house Robert? Wishing you all the best for the holiday move if it is.
  13. I have posted so many times in so many threads here that the ExoSkeleton Cyber Truck would have been a game changer. Instead, the public will get a Honda Ridgeline competing Unibody pickup that will have a fraction of what Musk has promised. All flash and no real steal!
  14. So I have been all week in Vegas, sucky story I will post after I get back in a week as I am taking PTO off to go escape and unplug in the Canadian Rockies, Fairmount Hot springs. Summer Family Trip - Fairmont Hot Springs Resort Reservations Wanted to jump on this as I thought about this all week long and I wonder if this is what they will do? Escalade IQ Escalade IQL EV versions of Escalade Escalade ESV I totally agree that once ICE is gone, just go back to Escalade, but what about the ESV, go with just L then?
  15. True valid points, but then this surprise 50 extra miles tends to lead me to believe that GM is being ultra-Conservative on the Ultium battery packs and motors. I would not be surprised as they get more data on the existing EVs to see them tune the controllers giving more range under normal conditions and better estimates under load / trailering.
  16. Very excited for what GM will do for the full size SUVs to come. I am hoping the Escalade EV launch will be this range or more.
  17. Toyota fans will love this. I get a Mercedes vibe on the inside air vents and the exterior is just blah to me as it blends in with everything else.
  18. @Robert Hall Found this site as I am researching for myself a hot tub with cover and a fire pit area as my son's family and grandkids love to hang out and make smore's. Like many ideas from here. 22 Hot Tub Privacy Ideas for Every Budget (freshpatio.com) I am really liking these sunroom style hottub enclosures so you can see the sky and also cut wind and snow from the tub. Retractable hot tub enclosure Oasis | sunrooms-enclosures.com
  19. Course can always go with the basic Gazebo Cover over your Hot Tub and pad. @Robert Hall In that case then, there is always the Gazebos with a clear roof or I see these covers are pretty cool. Just thinking you get more snow then me so it might be nice to not have to deal with snow removal on the cover.
  20. Thank you for the updated info. Sounds awesome, totally agree with you on the arthritis, knees and hips for comfort. Should be a welcome addition to life for you and your sister. Going to put a cover over the Jacuzzi or let the snow pile up and clear it before getting in?
  21. I totally understand the point your making, sadly people seem to always go cheap on Tires but will spend for the AWD feature and then complain when they still slip in rain, ice or snow when they would have an amazing experience if they just put on a proper, decent set of grippy tires.
  22. @oldshurst442 I totally get the point your making as it is sad that Newpapers were being written at a 7th grade level in the 70's and since then they have written them for even lower education levels. We have the 80's Movie Ferris Bueller's Day Off (1986) - IMDb that celebrated skipping school and being dumb and causing havoc. We have black rappers using the N word at each other and if anyone else uses it we are then racist. Where is the so-called royalty of the black music world that should be correcting this trashing of rap music? The only one that I ever hear say anything was Will Smith who in an interview said his grandma would spank him when he used profanity and racist words and she made him promise to never use those words in his music and to better himself. We need more people thinking like this. Same with movies/TV shows that as you say celebrate the betterment of humanity than the ignorance. The trailers alone for Jackass movies turned me off and I have never watched them as well as the Beavis and Butthead shows. I will give credit where credit is due and that is to SouthPark where the writers have actually attempted to deliver key messages in simple terms as well as make it lite for humor. Not all of the shows succeeded but somewhere very good. Another show of stupidity is The Simpsons. Sad TV for sure. Overall, we should be celebrating the education of society and not the stupidity dumming down of it.
  23. I have a family member that grew up in the south and while Hubie is a hard worker and no doubt loves his wife, his lack of education shows up as he never finished high school. He uses those terms all the time and while his wife tries to gently correct him, he always questions why as in his mind it a compliment to any man or woman he thinks is good. A very different way of thinking, communicating and it is thankfully going away as the generations change and more people better themselves through education. Course with that said, I find it interesting that Florida thinks they can tell schools how to spend their federal funding. I have a small worry that we will see a very diverse split in education between conservative states and more liberal states.
  24. Robert, is this one of those tubs that uses salt to chlorinate itself or is it a traditional chlorine system that you can use a shock treatment on to keep it PH balanced? I see in the picture it uses fresh water? Does it have a warm towel drawer? Are you going to put a cover up over it to keep it out of the snow? Very excited for you and your sister as it will really help to relax the body and replenish it. I feel these are a must have for everyone as you hit 50 and older. @oldshurst442 @surreal1272 @ccap41 @Drew Dowdell @smk4565 @trinacriabob @NINETY EIGHT REGENCY @regfootball Just saw the stories popping up on this. Seems RAM is going to compete in the small Unibody Ford Maverick market with a Rampage truck. Seems that this is codeveloped between Ram North America and Ram Brazil as a Global mini pickup truck. 25. Happy Mothers day to all even the Furbabie Moms and regular Moms!
