  1. The 2017 Lincoln Continental might be labeled as quiet luxury, but even the timid ones have a wild side. And how could it not with two turbos and 400 horses under its hood?

The big Lincoln returns after a 14-year hiatus, and the automaker set out to make its comeback something special. And that’s certainly the case with one of the sedan’s engine choices—a Lincoln-exclusive 3.0-liter twin-turbo V-6 churning out 400 hp and 400 lb-ft of torque that’s been paired with a six-speed automatic transmission. Front-wheel drive is standard fare, but our test car was equipped with an all-wheel-drive system.

An overall positive review and man is that interior gorgeous.

  2. I think it was Ford, not the Edge, that lost this comparison.  By sending a vehicle so out of line with what was being requested, they set themselves up for failure.  Had they sent a Titanium AWD with the 302A Equipment group it would have been just slightly cheaper than the Murano.  Performance would have been the same and they wouldn't have been complaining about all the "sport" stuff in the seats and springs.

I've driven the Murano and the Edge Titanium back to back and there isn't much effective difference between the two. It would come down to aesthetics mostly.

Agreed, seems like it only lost because they brought the Sport instead of a regular model.

Again, where are either of you seeing the 2.0T will be the base engine on the CT6? I have not seen that anywhere, only that the 2.0T would be available as a performance hybrid.

From the Cadillac press release on the CT6

I read multiple press releases, they had varied details and were vague about the actual 2.0T application. I'll admit this one is more definitive than the others, but I'm still curious to see for sure when GM actually reveals the trim levels and engines.

I think that CT6 is going to get eaten alive, I am curious as to how they'll price it.  I think they'll aim too high, which is why I see it getting eaten alive.

Why am I not surprised you're glass half empty about a Cadillac, you haven't liked the CT6 since the day it was unveiled.

I also thought the 2.0T would be paired with a hybrid and the non hybrid 2.0T will be China only.  But maybe not...

  4. The refreshed 2016 Honda Accord will re-enter a revived midsize sedan class ready to take on the segment with more flash and technology than we've ever seen on a car wearing the Accord nameplate. But the 2016 Accord, which will reach dealers in August, won't be alone. The revamped Honda midsizer will be met by renewed challengers including the 2016 Nissan Altima, 2016 Chevrolet Malibu, and 2016 Kia Optima. Does the Accord now have what it takes to retake second place from the Nissan Altima and challenge the Toyota Camry?

I didn't realize they had a refresh out already.  I like the current front end much more.  Almost seems like they're trying to make it look like an Acura.

  5. NASCAR and Indycar.  It's what I grew up on and still can't get enough of either.  I go to the Indy 500 and Brickyard 400 every year.  I also went to the first NASCAR Cup race at Kentucky, but that was such a fiasco that we haven't been back since.  I also enjoy USAC and World of Outlaws sprint/midget/Champ cars.

  6. Cool, I'll friend you later. I can't remember what mine is. Might just be my real name.

My name is TaurusSHO97.  I tried to update my GT6 after about a six month hiatus and instead of updating, it blew up the game lol.  Hopefully I can find a cheap one somewhere.

  7. I love the Hammer horror films.  TCM aired some of his films Monday and I caught a few of them.  He's probably my favorite actor along with Vincent Price in what I call the "second wave" of horror films (first being the 1930s, of course).  I'd recommend checking out Horror Express if you haven't seen it.  Great movie that not a lot of people know about.

  8. @Drew No doubt!  On the way home from Pittsburgh in 2011 we averaged 34MPG.  Granted, the average speed was probably around 50mph, but still impressive, imo.

Ah, well it's good you're happy with what you've got. A lot of people can't say that. My first car was a mildly embarrassing economy car and nothing more. 115 galloping horsepower and maroon-red paint that had faded into a very feminine dull pink.

Oh my lol, doesn't sound like fun.  Our LeBaron only has 100hp and a three speed auto.  Now THAT is slow when you step on it.
