Camaro FTW.
-
Reason One is also due to GM not having the foresight to use lightweight materials where they are applicable: aluminum hood and decklid, lightweight materials for the suspension, etc.
...and everything comes at a cost.

Matter of fact, the higher-up guys are getting a few CTSs as company cars next week (to replace two SRXs and an older CTS).
-
Oh boy, CTSs are a very regular sighting over here these days...
-
Very impressive numbers. I hope the V6 sounds good, because if so that's the Camaro I'd take.
Watch around 4:10...
Another...
Definitely not bad.

How many 6-cylinder cars that get 29mpg also have 300hp?
Seriously...
Genesis: 290 HP, 27 MPG
370Z: 332 HP, 26 MPG
CTS: 304 HP, 25 MPG
G37: 328 HP, 26 MPG
Uhhh...?

Good God, my little sister let one rip the other day in the car... Not even funny. Good thing I was about 10 houses down the road from my driveway...
-
Good luck catching the bandit. I live in America now, bitches.
But seriously, I heard this story on the radio probably over a month or two ago...

I wonder if removing that plastic engine cover first thing will make a difference. lol

Wouldn't it stand to reason that each dealer would get one to road-test?
I'm hearing that since supply is so tight that the dealers haven't even considered letting prospective buyers sit-on/drive these things and play w/all the gadgets.
Personally, driving the V-6 would only make me want to strap into a V-8 and let those horses run.
You are wrong, sir...
A co-worker got a coupon in the mail from a Chevy dealer saying that if you come in and test drive their new Camaro (when available), you'll get a $10 oil change along with it. Talk about win-win for the customer!

Everybody I know that's seen one on the street is going crazy about it. All the guys at work that have seen it are crazed about it. My buddy texted me Saturday night after seeing one and was super impressed. It'll sell pretty well once more people see them!
-
First, the Camaro's re-birth isn't an early Christmas gift. It's rather late.
Second, they look so much better on the street than they do in the auto shows or in pictures...

Chevrolet announced EPA fuel economy figures for its reborn muscle car this morning: Up to 29 mpg on the highway for a six-cylinder Camaro equipped with either an automatic or manual transmission. The V8 SS model will be capable of 25 mpg on the highway with its automatic and 24 with the manual transmission.Around town, the EPA has rated the V6 Camaro at 18 mpg for the automatic and 17 mpg for the manual. The V8 is rated at 16 mpg regardless of transmission.
Those figures are impressive given the V6’s 304-horsepower output. The V8, available on the Camaro SS, makes 400-horsepower with the six-speed automatic and 426-horsepower with the six-speed manual.
For comparison, Dodge’s 376-horsepower Challenger and Ford’s 300-horsepower Mustang earn 23 mpg on the highway with their manual transmissions. In six-cylinder form, the automatic-only, 250-horse Challenger is rated at 25 mpg and the manual, 210-horse Mustang is rated at 26 mpg.

I learned that I can stare at PCS's avatar for quite awhile without even getting bored.
I also learned that universal piston ring compressors aren't universal at all. They don't work on Ecotec piston rings.

A&S is hard, edgy lines and all Cadillac.
Opel Insignia is soft lines and very Buick. WTF?
-
Veddy nice, DF. I remember selling those faux wood-frame fishtanks at the pet store I worked at in high school.

My grandma drives a Saturn, and my parents have owned Buick, Chevy, Pontiac. I've only owned Chevy.
So, we haven't had a GMC, Cadillac, Hummer, Olds, or Saab.
