  1. Back home, other people would use my computer other than myself and everytime I displayed the drop-down menu for the Address Bar, I'd have a huge list of sites on there that other people visited. So, instead of having all that bs anytime I started typing in an address, I just made Firefox quit remembering my history. That way, everytime I close Firefox, I lose all the sites on my drop-down address bar.. and I like it that way.
  2. Well, last night I researched a little further for a couple hours... And this is what I came up with: Although the Silverado has a less powerful engine (the 5.3 vs. the Hemi), the Silverado has more towing (10,500) and payload (1629) ability than the comparable Ram's towing (8300) and payload (1210) ability. Furthermore, the Silverado has better gas mileage at 16/20 vs. the Ram's 14/17. Those are two good points that the average customer doesn't see when just looking and saying, "Damn that Hemi is potent.. almost 400 ft/lbs of torque!" This just shows that GM and Chevy have better technology once again... Then, there is more head and leg room (both front and rear) in the Silverado than the Ram. The bed is about 5" shorter, but it still can handle more payload. The Silverado has more road clearance and is shorter. However, I can't find any acceleration charts to see which is quicker which I'd really like to. Either way, it'll be worlds quicker than our '05 4.7 Durango. It really pays to really look into what you're comparing than to just look at the base facts. *All numbers found at Edmunds.com
  3. Like I said one post above, I don't know what happened.. but I priced a Ram 1500 ST 4x4 Quad Cab SWB with the Hemi and other options and it came to $31,040. How stupid. I did recheck, before you posted, and that number was off.
  4. Well, that's retarded. I just looked at the Ram again and just for a ST Quad Cab 4x4 w/ a Hemi and it's coming up as $30,340 just to start instead of with any options.. it was cheaper than that earlier. How retarded.
  5. Fine, what was the 2002 Lingenfelter TT Corvette's 0-60 on a RWD chassis? Yes, 1.97 seconds. I was thinking the Sledgehammer was quicker. And, no, I wouldn't say I first heard it on some website. That was the second source I found.
  6. I have no idea, but I'd assume they did. Talk is of a fully carbon body. Hopefully the LS9 (even with the blower) weighs less than the LS7 set-up. Thank you. And, yes it does seem wrong, but, IDK. I can see it happening. Didn't the Sledgehammer Corvette have RWD? Just something to think about. And that was back 18 years ago.. about 20 years before the "Blue Devil" is rumored to be produced.
  7. Yeah, I'll just have him and my mom test drive both of them. Oblu did bring up a few good points. And, yes, he's pretty much looking for bare bones with a good towing capability. And he won't buy a Ford.
  8. What if I were to tell you he's only going for a 2-3 year lease? I don't know of any vehicles that have just crapped out in 3 years.
  9. I wouldn't post stuff that I didn't believe. I think that, in my three years here, I have at least a few people that could support that I don't say stuff that I feel is just a stupid rumor or something that won't prove to be true or somewhat true. Also, Flybrian has stated this before: When someone chooses to share information, you DO NOT have to agree, but you MUST afford them respect. Anyway, take what I've said here FWIW. When you see that this is credible, just know where you saw this stuff first. And if it proves to not be credible, then you may knock me. Until then, we'll see. :AH-HA_wink:
  10. I'm trying to convince my dad to get a Silverado instead of a Ram. When asked what he wants he replied, "4x4 Quad Cab with a Hemi and Towing Group." So, I'm sitting here and decided to price a Silverado and Ram... Both models are 1500-Series. Both models are 4x4. Ram has a Hemi (345/375); Silverado has a Vortec 5.3 (315/338). Ram has five-speed-auto with OD; Silverado has four-speed-auto with OD. Ram is priced with a 3.92 rear-end; Silverado is priced with the 3.73. Ram isn't priced with ESP; Silverado is priced with Stabilitrak Ram has four wheel disc brakes; Silverado has drums in back. Ram has ABS for the rear wheels; Silverado has four-wheel ABS (my dad doesn't care though) Ram has standard cruise control with its package; Silverado does not. Ram is priced with Remote Start; Silverado is not. Ram has AM/FM with CD player; Silverado to the best of my knowledge doesn't have it in the 1WT package. Ram has 4 speakers; Silverado has six. (Although my dad could care less) Silverado has tire pressure monitoring system; Ram doesn't (Again, my dad doesn't care) Final price for both of them are $31,040 without discount and all that.Well, looks like the Ram racked up 7 points while the Silverado has 4. However, 3 of the poins that the Silverado got are from stupid things that my dad could care less about. Now, how the hell would I convince him to get a Silverado over a Ram when the Ram has all these benefits? And, please, don't tell me about how much more smooth the ride is in the Silverado or stupid stuff like that.
  11. Well, Northie, I could, but I turned off history on my Firefox settings. And the set rumor for the engine, as it has been for a long time, is a supercharged LS3. I've got nothing new there.
  12. One more thing.. the 2002 Lingenfelter TT C5 Corvette went 0-60 in 1.97 and 1/4 mile in the 9's. http://forums.corvetteforum.com/showthread.php?t=295501
  13. Damn it, I found very similar numbers (meaning, more exact numbers), plus a 1/4 mile time and some other stuff on some forum last night, but I don't remember which forum and I can't find it in a search. I'd post it for you guys, but I can't find it. Blah. I'm not giving nothing more exact though. I've varied the numbers enough and remember that the car is not finished yet, so my numbers may still be off. However, this is where it seems to be at currently (although I'm not sure how up-to-date my source is).
  14. Optimistic? I added a few ticks to what I heard before posting that. :AH-HA_wink:
  15. Wait, is that a paint chip?
  16. Because it's so much more fun. Especially when I underrate numbers and don't tell the full story

    Desktops!

Dodgefan, where did you get that sweet Start popup window? I'd like a different one, but not the same one.
  18. I'll just say what I heard as a rumor: From what I've seen or heard, they're aiming for 0-60 in less than 2.5 seconds. And they've beat it, by a bit. They're aiming for over 200 MPH. And they've done it. (Well, duh.. the Z06 goes like 197 doesn't it?) Something special happens around 140 MPH and around 190 MPH It'll cost around a hundred grand in US dollars (which was pretty much already known) They want to beat the best in the world for less than a quarter of a cost. And, from how it sounds, they will. And that's all I've got to say about that :AH-HA_wink:

    Desktops!

Here's my latest: Originally a NFS: Carbon screenshot from XBOX 360, then Sixty8 modified it w/ the quote. However, I took a higher resolution picture and threw Sixty8's text onto it. That's how she came out.
  20. I really don't care who does what with it.. just as long as they don't bastardize it like everybody's done with the Mustang. There's the Ford, then the Shelby, Saleen, Roush, Hertz, etc. edition. Hell, when you give Hertz it's own style of your car, you know there's something wrong..
  21. What immature idiots. They obviously don't understand the issue and, to make it worse, the stretch it to the limit they've gone to. Some people should just be institutionalized. That's bull$h!.
  22. 450 HP sounds fair. MMmmmmm.
  23. haha My first racing game was Cruis'n USA on the N64
  24. I sure will. And I'll try to humor him. :AH-HA_wink:
  25. Very cool that we finally have it somewhat confirmed. Will this be the FWD version of the Solstice GXP's and Sky Redline's engine?
