  1. A much needed move, but they are rapidly transforming into a more viable company already.
  2. It could be a fun car with a small displacement, direct-injected, turbo-charged 4-cylinder. might even get better fuel economy that way too, if the Cruze is any indication.... the Cruze doesn't even have direct injection on the 1.4.
  3. oh jesus tapdance christ that isn't what I said. I said that huge amounts of power are not needed for a car to feel sporty.
  4. It's a whole new market OCN. Those Supra's sound like ass.... I like fast without noise.
  5. What makes the ELR sporty? It's called magnetics. The Volt already has a ton of torque and already handles better than most family sedans due to weight balance. Add magnetic ride control (a system which is nearly magical in its abilities), and I think the ELR will be plenty sporty. Neither the Miata nor FR-S are particularly powerful under the hood, yet both of them are considered sports cars.
  6. All of that technology and the CR-Z manual can't even beat a relatively simplistic Chevy Cruze Eco automatic on the highway, and due to fuel tank sizes the same Cruze Eco goes up to 200 miles further on a tank of gas than a CR-Z CVT.
  7. Should I change the title of the thread to "No Longer Conflicted"?
  8. The ELR is a much smaller vehicle though.
  9. unless they are using the identical grill on the Sierra and Acadia... that is the Acadia grill
  10. these are popping up all over the place.... did some bus company liquidate a bunch of buses 3 years ago or what? I've seen 3 for sale in PIttsburgh.
  11. Asked of Capt. Sullenberger if he at any point prayed, he told Couric, “I would imagine somebody in back was taking care of that for me while I was flying the airplane.” We pay people to be doctors for a reason.... just like we pay people to be well trained airline pilots.
  12. What? A T1i is better than a T3? I know nothing about all of these camera thingys
  13. November 19th, 2012 Drew Dowdell Managing Editor - CheersandGears.com Ahead of the 2012 LA Auto show Audi is releasing news of four new TDI clean diesels bound for the U.S. Starting in spring of 2013, Audi will first introduce the TDI in the A8 flagship luxury sedan. Preliminary estimates put the A8 3.0 V6 TDI's fuel economy at 24mpg city and 36mpg highway while the 240 horsepower and a stump ripping 406 lb-ft of torque allow the 4300+ lb. sedan sprint to 60 in about 6.4 seconds. Following along in fall of 2013, the A7, A6, Q5 will join in on the diesel fun using the same 3.0 V6 TDI as the A8. While BMW is only rumored to be planning diesel availability across much of the rest of their lineup, Audi has gone ahead and beat them to an actual product announcement. We're okay with that, because in the end it means more diesels for everyone. 17. With black in just a few days, anyone spot any spectacular deals out there on one of these?
  18. Happy Birthinday!
  19. yes, but they say it will be even more aerodynamic... which means even more gumdrop looking...
  20. Yeah, that's the actual MKZ, not the concept.
  21. I am almost insane enough to buy a Chrysler 300c and then all of the badging needed to turn it into a Lancia..... Almost..
  22. Interesting, I thought that was just a conventional awd powertrain with hybridization.
  23. well there is a technical aspect that is interesting here guys. The car effectively has two separate powertrains.
  24. actually it has a 4-speed overdrive... it would be a greener car than what I drive now.
