G. David Felt Staff Writer Alternative Energy - CheersandGears.com Since the 90's people in both the public and private sector has stated America needs to have a Solid Energy Plan. One that gets us off the hook to importing oil from other countries and allows us to have a cleaner place to live. Going back to the first Oil Scare of the 70's and the attempt from American auto companies to supply efficient Pinto's, Mustangs, Camero's, etc., the US has had a Band Aid approach at best to how we deal with our Energy Consumption. Here in the 21st century you find pure e…

In Wheel Hub Cool EV Motors Protean Electric is making some very cool ev motors which should make auto conversions easy and talk about simple with big long range battery packs. More videos are found ere: https://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=Protean+Electric+In-wheel+Motors+in+Actual+Laboratory+Testing Have to say the break out test is cool from thick ice. Clearly motors can handle being submerged, I can see a true EV 4x4 as battery packs get to have longer range. Course need to replace the Jerry cans with replaceable battery packs.

Seems we have idiot sales people that do not bother to learn how to sell electric or plug-in hybrids and as such a company has moved forward with a simple chart to show the type of chargers and speeds the autos have. https://www.linkedin.com/in/mteske/ The link above is to the founder of this Oregon based company for their chart system. Color indicates the type of chargers the auto uses and the number represents the speed of recharging. Seems straightforward.

GM States Desire to be First to Profit from Mass Selling EVs. http://www.greencarreports.com/news/1110469_gm-goal-profitable-affordable-electric-cars-built-in-big-numbers Seems GM is focusing on lower the cost of the batteries sooner rather than later and to turn a profit from EVs. This brings up the question: With China pushing for such high numbers of EV to be sold in that country, could we see a faster decline of ICE auto's and a rapid rise of EVs?
