I don't like gloss black on any car, but other than the the shape and styling look pretty good and fits the Kia brand. This wold be sales fire if there was a tax credit, I think it will do okay but a Seltos is so much cheaper, that is what they are up against.- 2027

I agree that a 2.0 turbo in a GLE is nuts. Yes it can get a sub 7 second 0-60 time but I am sure it revs like crazy to do it, and the inline 6 gets the same mileage. I hit a deer last November which totaled my E550. I did a 2 year lease on a sales demo C300 because I am waiting for EV's to get better then I am going EV and never going back, especially if the Bozo drives gas to $6 a gallon. The 2 liter mile hybrid is totally fine for a C-class (or GLC) not fast or exciting but more than adequate to get around. In a big SUV I think it would be a dog, and VW doesn't have electric assist. Although not like a Taos is fast either. And probably why EV's will take over easily when batteries get cheap. Even weak EV's like the Bolt are much faster than a garden variety 4 cylinder crossover and 1000 times better NVH. -

Mazda has issued recalls affecting nearly 200,000 vehicles, primarily for wiring faults, suspension issues, and manufacturing defects that could impact safety. Recent and Notable Recalls Mazda3 and CX-3 (2013–2020): Close to 200,000 vehicles were recalled due to a wiring fault that may cause the rearview camera to flicker or display distorted images, increasing the risk of accidents. Owners will be contacted by Mazda when parts are available, and repairs are free of charge. CX-60 and CX-90 (2023–2024): 860 diesel variants were recalled over unspecified issues affecting these SUVs. CX-50 and CX-50 Hybrid (2025): 1,007 units were recalled for front suspension bolts not tightened properly, which could lead to loss of drive power. Mazda3 (2018–2020): Previous recalls included software issues causing false automatic emergency braking and powertrain control module errors that could stall the engine. Other recalls: Some Mazda models, including the Mazda 6, CX-5, CX-9, MX-5, and Mazda 2, have been affected by low-pressure fuel pump cracks and other safety-related defects. -

Nissan and Volkswagen and even Benz need to get off this 2.0T thing for vehicles that are too large for it. Hyundai/Genesis, Ford, GM, Toyota, all have 2.3T - 2.7T going and that extra bit of displacement seems to make all the difference when moving around a 5 ton barge like these three-row crossovers. Yes, they still sound like ass, but at least they can move.- 1

VW News: All-New 2027 Volkswagen Atlas Debuts in New York
Kind of boring design still, which is a VW theme, a lot of forgettable cars. The 2 liter turbo is probably fine in every day driving, but if this thing were loaded with people or going up hills, then I bet that engine has to work really hard and I don't know if they have gotten better, but long term reliability was never a hallmark of the VW/Audi 2.0 engine. -

Perhaps you should look up the Bronco recalls regarding the engine(s) alone. Things like cracked fuel injectors are a little more than standard recall stuff. Those engines have had major teething issues from the jump and it hasn't stopped. My point here is that Hyundai/Kia will do just fine if we are going to bring up things like reliability with the competition.- 2
