The 2019 Volkswagen Jetta GLI is the sport variant of the all-new seventh-generation Jetta, bringing Golf GTI-derived performance to the sedan body. It is powered by a 2.0L TSI turbocharged four-cylinder producing 228 horsepower, paired with either a 6-speed manual or a 7-speed DSG dual-clutch automatic transmission. Handling is sharpened by a sport-tuned suspension, XDS cross-axle differential lock, and a wider track, while red-accented exterior details and a driver-focused interior with Active Info Display round out the performance package.

A Bentayga Speed sounds like a natural next step for Bentley. The standard W12 is already incredibly capable, so adding more power along with the usual Speed styling upgrades should make it even more appealing for buyers who want the performance to match the luxury. I'll be interested to see whether Bentley focuses more on sharper handling or simply makes it an even better high-speed grand tourer. This is pretty much easy and convenient. I have not yet been to a place be it retail shopping or eating that did not offer L2 charging or better. Always seems to be a place to charge on the west coast. One thing I did notice that has changed is my local mall went from free L2 charging to 29 cent per kW charging. Probably due to the increase of folks having EVs here. The big noticeable thing is that the days of each vendor having their own app while still there is you want to sign up for discounted charging is nice, so far, I am seeing even from Rivian, EVgo, ChargePoint, EA, etc. everyone is pretty much supporting just tap and charge with a credit, debit or your cell phone.

While I agree with most of this, I'm not 100% on board with the bold portion. It can come to you, but even in the most populated EV areas of the country, they're still not literally everywhere. They also don't need to be literally everywhere. You have to look into hotels that offer charging, not every office job has charging available (if they do, I'm sure they don't have 100 chargers for most people to make the change), you have to find a select few restaurants that offer charging, and shopping centers are probably growing the quickest, but still not every shopping center has chargers. I'm sure out west most shopping centers have chargers, but do the ones that you need to run to have them? I know one can certainly publicly charger out west with ease. But is it easy or is it convenient? Those are two very different things.

It's a Nissan Leaf. Nissan did what they always tend to do and give it no extra power and just suspension tweaks along with some aesthetics. There is nothing special about this NISMO, unfortunately.

WOW, just had an interesting chat with a coworker who is Maga and always made fun of me about my EV9. He was an ICE forever person last I talked with him. Today he showed up with a Cadillac Lyriq at our Seattle office. I asked him why the change? His response: I just got back from PTO where I visited my brother and he shocked me when he picked me up in a Rivian. He was an ICE forever person like me until he spent a week on a road trip for work with a coworker who only drove EVs and realized he was wrong about everything. Jason my coworker said this Lyriq is his first EV, will not be his last and he will never buy an ICE again. I asked him if he had installed a charger at home and he said not yet, was just starting to investigate it, but was not worried about having to have a home charger and he did understand that charging at public places was more expensive. This is when he then really surprised me with the following: David, for more than a century we have been conditioned to drive somewhere to get energy. With EVs, energy comes to where you already park. Hotels, Offices, Restaurants, Shopping centers, etc. Charging becomes part of your day instead of a separate trip. The mindset shift is one of the biggest changes in transportation since the invention of the gas station. Once I wrapped my head around it, I saw that there was no reason to not move to an EV, stop spending time on ICE maintenance schedules and just drive and enjoy the auto. Due to our Seattle office having a large charging area of L2 chargers, he pretty much charges at work or when he is out running errands. A huge change from what he was last time I talked to him about auto's to today and he gives his brother all the credit for showing him the way. Habits change with technology and charging up is based on the length of driving you need to do, not on getting a full tank of gas in his opinion.

The thing is, I don't even care that those places near my don't have chargers. They charge out the @ss per kW so I would still only consider an EV if my charging was done at home 95+% of the time. Fast chargers that cost like $0.40-0.60/kW are not cheaper to run than an ICE vehicle getting like 30mpg. FWIW, at $0.50/kW, that's nearly exactly the same costs for an ICE driver getting 28mpg when gasoline is $4.00/gal. Below is customized at $3.99/gal of gasoline and $0.50/kW (DC fast charging prices) . It's basically a wash.

Sorry to hear that in your area, the retail sector has not embraced charging yet like it is on the west coast or east coast as I have seen. With an EV you change habits and instead of spending time in line at a gas station and then fuel up and go, you charge up over a longer period of time, 18 min on average at Walmart, Fred Meyers, Kroger's, Costco, etc. as here they all now have fast chargers and L2 chargers at up to 19 kW charging at the Shopping mall where you will spend even more time. Saw the first 4 chargers in stalled at the AME cinema last night driving by. While due to incompetent administration, the rest of the word has moved onto Super Fast chargers from BYD that does pretty much equal gas fueling in 10 min or less. The U.S. will get there, but following the rest of the world as we are no longer a leader. Bum that you do not have the options others have, but I think a BOLT EUV would be a good choice for a 3rd auto as Gas prices go back up again.
