  1. I think the public has a very confused perception of the Volt. I work for a GM dealer and even I didnt really undetstand the facts about owning an Electric car. How many kwh does it take to charge the batteries? What does a Kwh cost me on my electrical bill? What would the per km operating costs be compared to a traditional gas vehicle. Since my dealership has our first one coming in I decided to try and answer all of those questions and put it on my site. http://mark-petz.com/volt.aspx How to make sense out of everything Volt. Important Facts: Efficiency: -The volt is estimated to run approx 56 kms on a full charge -After the charge runs out it can then travel up to 600 kms on a full tank. -A full charge requires 12.9 kWh -In Ontario 1 KWH of overnight charging costs 6.2 cents Therefore it will cost .79 cents to fully charge the batteries and you could then travel up to 56 kms with no gasoline. -That same trip in a Chevrolet Malibu would be $7.35 -That same trip in a Toyota Prius comes to $2.80 Costs: -The Volts MSRP's range from $42,995 - $50,000 -The Ontario government offers a rebate of $8,231 -Financing and Leasing options are available Charging: -Charging with the optional 240V charger takes approx 4 hours -Charging on a regular 120V outlet takes approx 12 hours
  2. Does anyone have experiance driving the 6 cylinder Camaro's in the winter? Engineers are trying to tell us it is designed for winter driving but I wouldn't mind somebody with first hand experiance to tell me.
  3. Everyone has their own opinion but I am shocked when people say underwhelmed. Everytime I walk by even our 1LT model my eyes are drawn to it. I really think the Camaro represents incredible value for under $30,000. I use to sell 200 hp previous model Impala's for $34,000 with lacked anything this Camaro has.
  4. Why not use this car as the Impala??? The Impala sales are dead...People that want a front wheel drive sedan have the Malibu to choose from instead.
  5. This is one sweet car. I urge anyone who is curious to hop over to a local dealer and just drive one. They did such a good job on this car and the Buick brand as a whole. I remember at a meeting a few years back GM announced to us that they were going to take the Buick name and compete head-to-head with Lexus for market share. At the time I rolled my eyes back and thought "yeah right! Buick is an old man's car". Then came the Enclave which wowed me and now comes this. I like the direction and speed of change happening with this Brand. If anyone has time on thier hands they should drive the Lexus and the Buick in the same day and let us know what they think. I would but I might be too biased since I represent GM so an impartial observer would probably be more accurate. GO BUICK!!!
  6. I disagree with the "Glorious GXP" comment. Although if you look at a spec sheet this might appear to have some truth but once you drive a C6 vette and feel how light and agile it moves I think you would change your opinion. It is a waste not to give the solstice or sky new life as a Chevrolet.
  7. Its been a long time for us here North of the Border. The US was hogging all the Camaro allocation and Canadian dealers were left with a slow trickle of availability. Finally my dealership and a few others have unspoken for units and I might actually get the chance to drive one. First to come: Black-on-Black 2 SS with the RS package, 20" wheels, cyber grey stripe kit, HID headlights, sunroof and all the glorious standard features of the 2SS model. If it was not for this recession I would consider buying it for myself. My wife might not like it but at least I would be single with a Camaro :-) We also have a 1LT model coming in unsold which with over 300 HP would blow still blow the doors off my buddy's 4.6 L Mustang GT. Direct Injection Rocks!!! Once I get a chance to drive these (assuming they dont sell too quick) I will post a very biased review. Check out the Camaro page on my site <-- Check out the pics Cheers
  8. Its funny on 2010 the 17" wheels get Michelan Tires but if you go to the V6 with 18"s they go to Hancook. I have not seen the 19"s yet..Anybody know what tire? When you talk about shakey cameras because I made an Equinox video for my website and even with the steady cam setting on it looks like a 6 on the richter scale. My Equinox web page
