First Chinese made EV car EPA certified and cleared for use in California. Deliveries to start between now and the end of the year. The basic entry level EV car qualifies for the California $2,000 EV credit and the federal $7,500 ev credit giving it an effective cost of just $7,999 out of the customers pocket. Cheapest EV on the road.

The Kandi K27 comes with an EPA rated 59 miles from a 17.7 kWh battery pack and a top speed of 63 mph. This micro subcompact car is clearly for inner city use for the most part. The 4 passenger car is only 136 inches long, more than a foot shorter than the Mitsubishi Mirage.

Kandi K27 will have the following standard:

    • backup camera
    • 9" touch screen infotainment system
    • bluetooth connectivity

Before any credits this car costs $20,499 and right now for the first 1,000 customers, Kandi is offering a $3,000 discount which brings it to $17,499 then add the credits and you end up at $7,999

Kandi K23 is the more expensive and little bit bigger car that is $29,999 before incentives or discounts and has a rated top speed of 72 mph and 111 miles of battery range. The K23 will be available for purchase in California come 2023.

Ah, of course they're cleared in Commiefornia...no surprise...

An even uglier (if that's possible) knockoff version of the Fiat 500e and Smart EQ EV. Probably built worse too. Like an 80's Yugo. :roflmao:

Yup, posted about it on the last couple of pages.

I am excited that GM is going to use the Ultium family of batteries and motors for various connect and cruise packages that will have all the controllers, wires, cooling, etc. in a package that can be then used to convert any ICE to EV. :metal:

Thinking of this for my 1994 GMC Suburban. :D

But not the TB SS? Wonder why? Because that LS2 sounds too good to swap and you know it! :D

    Just between his ears...just kidding.

I think this is a badass truck though.

K5 Blazer is one of my favorite old SUV's, top 3 fav. rides for sure.

And GM's Ultra Cruise coming soon is going to be even better than Super Cruise and I've driven a few Cadillac's with Super Cruise, it's pretty sweet.

Yeah, I sold an Astro/Safari van with over 200K, next owner put another 200K on it.

    Bulletproof. Seriously.

I put 200K also on an Astro Cargo van, and 175 on another passenger van. Never left stranded, ever. Pulled trailers, did all kinds of crazy stuff, overlaoded the work van with ladders on a ladder rack....they kept chugging along.

    Nice!

Yeah, we had 3 S10 4.3L pickups in our electrical contracting fleet of 14 service and install trucks at one time including full-size vans and other trucks in the early to mid 90's. Ladder rack, canopy and a ton (literally) of weight in tools and parts on the S10's. They were well maintained and just kept going with well over 150k mi. on the odo, no down time ever, always kept the business crankin'.

Amazing how much aftermarket has done to tune these trucks to over 600+ hp and some truly single digit quarter miles.

Yeah, that Vortec 4.3L V6 is a bulletproof engine with tons of aftermarket parts, makes sense being it's based off the venerable Chevrolet 350 V8, with two cylinders lopped off.

I still want one of these, badly...

I remember when a childhood neighbor up the road bought a new '91 Syclone. He used to say "she'll hit 60 mph from one telephone pole to the next" Not as impressive with today's tech. and performance, but for a pickup truck mid 4 sec. to 60 mph in the early 90's, that was flyin'.

  8. If ya'll haven't watched James and Thomas on "Throttle House" this is a must watch, as we've all joked about the ridiculously HA-YUGE BMW grilles on here. @7:55. These guys are hilarious just funny not even trying like many do on these vlogs. James has an English accent that adds to the hilarity.

I lost a college friend to this brand of wench.  I was in the wedding party.  In the course of his marriage, he has handed over his testicles to her on a silver platter.

Want a good laugh, watch this Cyber Truck review as this guy is a hard core Tesla lover. At 10:03 you can see a bit of the side to see how TERRIBLE the design is as the back seats are a good 6 inches below the front seats. As such, the people in the back will never see out the front as they will be sitting in a hole. Terrible truck design. The guy does nail one thing right, stop thinking of this as a truck and think of it as a new category of auto. What that is I have no Idea, but after seeing and listening to this guy, I AM NOT SOLD on the Cyber Truck.

Improved battery technology and much lower costs to build EV's are definitely the driving force here.

GM has the cash and engineers to move fast when they want to and Tesla top execs know that, and I don't think Tesla has even made a real profit yet. Used to be that they lost $2.5k-5k per vehicle sold depending on the the model and trim. The interior of their $50k-$100k cars and EUV's are so drab with a lot of cheap hard plastic, for that much it should be all leather, real wood and carbon fiber or aluminum trim everywhere like the new Cadillac's that are around $100k-$110k, Escalade and CT6 come to mind, but even the $75k-$85k ELR fit and finish and gorgeous interior blew away the interior of the Model S in 2014, wasn't even close. Hopefully Tesla gets their QC Dept. together as strong leadership and competition are key to building quality vehicles, like most of us on here know. The Tesla Cybertruck is a joke compared to the GMC Hummer EV truck that's coming out.
