    That would be the Porsche 597 Jagdwagen. 49 were sold to the public. The very first Porsche designed 4WD would be the 1900 Lohner-Porsche Electromobile.

    Mitsubishi also makes light rail vehicles, and subway cars. Both Fiat and Renault used to make rail vehicles, but not any more.

    Thanks. The wording had me wondering if you meant the first DOHC 4-valve/cylinder engine ever, but that honour, as far as I know, goes to Ernest Henry and Peugeot in 1912, and the Chevrolets had nothing to do with that.

    If you mean Chevrolet the man, he was building DOHC conversions for Model T engines. The earlier date I've seen for one is 1924

    OK, here's an idea I've had kicking around in my head for a while. Basically, it's a resuurection of the Fiero, only this time we drop the "commuter car" pretense, and make it a proper mid-engined sports car. It uses GM's FWD drivetrains as before, but this time, it's designed to accept a V8, or turbo V6

    Gnitro: I like it, a lot. I hope you do a side view. MRDETROITMETAL: Frankly, the envelope could use a little pushing. A neat exercise in imagination, and that rear track would be great in snow. Add a ski option for the front wheels, and you'd have the ultimate Skidoo.

    Here's a revival on one of my all time favourite GM designs, the Olds Toronado, this time as Olds' version of the Cadillac XLR. In keeping with the original's heritage a showcase for advanced design, it has a hybrid drivetrain. Luxury and performance for the environmentally conscious.

    It was my impression that using graphics programs to create your own images, as opposed to piecing together and modifying someone else's was allowed, going by Flybrian's posts here and here Now if you want to restrict future competitions to pencil only, or have a competition just for computer rendering (as opposed to chopping), I'm good with that, but it looks to me like the rules are pretty clear on this.
