everytime I see it, the first thought I have is nice resto, then I remember this is a new car.
oh, hood nozzles >>>> wiper nozzles. Have them on my sunbitch and hate them with a passion

I like the look of it but there doesn't seem to a manual transmission so I'm out.

GM has invested very heavily in Canada, under the Beacon Project, including moving research, design and engineering facilities to Canada. What has Toyota/Honda done? Oh, that's right: tax breaks for opening in Woodstock.
GM got a fair bit of cash from the government to get the Beacon project going too

as much as I'd like to see DEJ win the 500 (and all other races this year), part of me wants to see a Toyota win the 50th running of the "Great American Race" simply because of the irony it would be. Well, that an the reaction racing fans would have.

CNN has a headline that says that GM is going to post a $39 billion loss last year. Not a huge surprise, as it pretty much all came in a write off from the third quarter against future tax credits

BUILD IT!!!
even my toyota driving g/f likes it

The Jeep Compass, for example, has experienced slow sales compared to the Dodge Caliber on which it is based. The Dodge Avenger and Chrysler Sebring are also very similar, as are the Jeep Liberty and Dodge Nitro. It's not known if any of those products are on the chopping block.
while they are similar, I wouldn't exactly say they are badge engineered. The average buyer wouldn't know they are the same vehicle, unlike the Torrent/Equinoix

and probably right around what dealer's will try to sell at

Was I right though? If I was, I lived around there for 4 months and go to the No Frills fairly often. :AH-HA_wink:

Of all the places in Canada to make somebody from Detroit feel right at home, Scarborough just might be the one. :AH-HA_wink:
its funny cause its true. Beofre I moved tehre my g/f kept telling me how it wasn't dangerous. That night, the first 3 stories were about a stabbing, a shooting and a street race that ended up in death, all in Scarberia.
After I moved, I told my friends to get me a bulletproof jacket as a house warming present haha

I doubt this is actually a local model, since there's no front plate holder. Or maybe the dealer hasn't installed it yet.
Did you peek inside to see if the gauge cluster was KM/H or MPH?
And as far as I know, this location didn't do vehicle licensing. That's a DriveTest centre that deals with driver's licenses only. Maybe this was City Buick's car.
it definitely wasn't local. it was from Michigan and had a Manufacturer plate on it.
Can't believe somebody actually recognized the lot from the crappy picture

As I was leaving the gym in the east end of Toronto friday night, out of the corner of my eye I see something I haven't seen (and hadn't expected too see for a while yet) on the road yet, a new Vibe.
I don't know if it had been brought to the vehicle licensing office that was in the mall for some reason or if the Detroit engineer was just up for the scenic beauty that is Scarborough
I tried to take a few pictures, but this is the only one that turned out. While it was dark, I got a decent look inside and liked what I saw

What auto maker has bluetooth across 30 models in it's lineup?
In fact, what automaker has more than 10?
asking what automaker has it across 30 models isn't a fair question as many automaker's dont' have 30 models or even half the number of brands GM does. With GM's 8 brands, that would average out to under 4 models per brand which really isn't much.
doing a quick search Nissan, has it on 8 2007 models and ALL 2008 models. Its also on all on Infiniti's 2007 models. Honda also have that beat with 4 Honda's and 5 Acura models with Bluetooth. Even Ford, with its Sync application will have Bluetooth on 12 models across its 3 brands.
Frankly, GM dropped the ball on this one. I just hope they get BT on whatever model I buy in the next few years because to me, lack of BT is a dealbreaker. I may be able to live without other features/innovations, but being able to talk on my cell without holding it to my head or deal with headsets is important to me. And I don't want to go through a)the hassle of installing a system myself and b)having to potentially deal with a dealer who will try decline warranty because of it

They could charge way more then that and sell pretty damn well I think because there will be plenty of older well off guys who want to relive their youth who'll be able to afford it.

I've only heard the Honda ad's. But I have heard a lot of'em

it would be a bigger deal if he owned a car/truck other then a Toyota/Lexus, but he doesn't own any, so I don't think its anything to write home about

shove that up your ULEV tailpipe and smoke it Toyota!

What an intelligent idea! Design a car specifically or one market instead of designing a global car for many markets in an attempt to boost sales. Brilliant!
you think being the only car in the market with features useful to ~1.1-1.8 BILLION people is a bad idea?
-
doubt its either Caddy, Pontiac or Hummer since they are alpha numeric (except for the Vibe?)
I think Saturn is a pretty good bet

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Trabant
The Trabant was a steel monocoque design with roof, bootlid, bonnet and doors in Duroplast, a form of plastic containing resin strengthened by wool or cotton.
sounds saturn-ish. so GM took design idea's from a $h!ty Eastern European car?
