Agree, the whole market is way overvalued, sadly I see this not adjusting too much due to people who did not save and are 50 years old now are putting away their 20+% into 401Ks so the inflow of cash is huge. You have not heard new generators; most are on par at 45 db or so and top out at around 70db so no different than an ice auto. Only cheap old generators are really noisy with no muffler system.

With Kia having a full size pickup truck, I can see Canada changing to a Korean, Japan and China auto market. I loved tent camping but about 7 years ago or when I hit 50 it was weird on how the body changes and sleeping in a tent even on a cushion is just not comfy anymore and I would wake up stiff and sore. Now airbnb when we go away to a destination or overnight a hotel room close to the rural off-road area we visit. A generator is not that much work if you're looking to just have certain things, it is far more versatile than having to drive out to fill up a gas tank on a traditional ICE as EVs with regen are far better off-road then ICE for efficient use and recapture of energy. Agree with at home cooking, far more relaxing than going out anymore.

That is a valid option, but not everyone will want a Hybrid with all the additional maintenance of the auto. For some, if the area they are going to is not a designated remote area that has destination chargers like what Rivian is doing across the U.S. then the generator option is a valid way to go. Plus, the Ford Hybrid with the Power Option still puts out more CO2 than an EV and the occasional use of a small portable generator. Getting a Rivian with the MAX pack is already over 400 miles so as is common here, many who go rural rarely need a generator as they usually can go out and come back to a place that has a charger.
