WHAT WAS YOUR FAVORITE JEFF SCOTT SOTO MOMENT?
Journey dumps Jeff Scott Soto
JOURNEY ANNOUNCES DEPARTURE OF JEFF SCOTT SOTO:
Press Release / June 12, 2007 -- Journey has parted ways with their recently named lead singer Jeff Scott Soto. Jeff s first appearance with Journey was July 7, 2006 in Bristow, VA. He had been filling in for Steve Augeri, who had to leave the tour shortly after it began on June 23 due to illness. Jeff s last performance was May 12, 2007 in Leesburg, VA.
According to guitarist Neal Schon, "We appreciate all of Jeff s hard work and we can t thank him enough for stepping in when Steve Augeri got sick last year. He did a tremendous job for us and we wish him the best. We've just decided to go our separate ways, no pun intended. We re plotting our next move now."
Keyboardist Jonathan Cain continues, We were lucky to have a friend who was already a Journey fan step in on a moment s notice during the Def Leppard tour to help us out. Jeff was always the consummate professional and we hope that he remains a friend of the band in the future. We just felt it was time to go in a different direction.
Journey--Neal Schon (guitar), Ross Valory (bass), Jonathan Cain (keyboards) and Deen Castronovo (drums) is taking the rest of 2007 off to spend time with their families, write new songs and map out plans for 2008.

JUST FOR FLY
in Kia
The arrival of the redesigned 2007 Kia Amanti only three years after the original sure makes Kia look like an automaker on the move, ready to advance past those other guys. After all, Kia's full-size flagship sedan is riding on an all-new, lighter-weight platform, and it has a new, more powerful V6 engine under its hood. These are good things on a large car that's had a reputation for being an overweight, underpowered, serious gasoline drinker.
But we're not sure many shoppers will know just how new and improved the 2007 Kia Amanti really is. Aside from its wider grille and new taillamps, this Amanti has the same basic sheet metal as the '06 model — and last year's body already looked about a decade old. It's an odd move on Kia's part, and alongside the more modern-looking competition, the Amanti is at an immediate disadvantage.

The reasons I HATE the Sours (just noticed I did that, I think I'll keep it):
-They won the Tim Duncan sweepstakes (which should have been Boston or Philly)
-Turned Duncan into a power forward when he's a CENTER!
-They swept my Lakers savagely in '99.
All crimes against humanity. Which is why it felt so good for my boys to shut them down in '01, '02, and '04. Plus the Lakers were their only real obstacle.
As far as the whole boring thing, gota keep in mind that team is based in a conservative town. If they were down the road in Austin (or more to the point, LA or the Bay or somewhere like that), maybe it would be different.
By the way, we have another bad Duncan situation coming with Greg Oden heading for the HATED Trailblazers!! I never did like Portland. Hoped for Boston, or at least Seattle or Atlanta. Oh well...
I wanted Oden here in MN beside KG.

Saturn will not survive. Too much, too late.
Perceptions die hard.
It can take a generation.
GM hasn't the time to wait.
The wholesale changes hasn't resulted
in many sales.
Just import them as Opels and be done with it.
yeah cuz everyone in north america knows what an opel is?

there are so many more forms of entertainment these days. yet clearly the nba did not benefit from having the most boring team ever to win again.
lebron is what everyone wants to see win. not the plodding spurs.

honda sure has no ability to design anything original these days.
like with the civic, i am sure they will be trying to appeal to young video game tech heads. camry has the geriatric set now so honda's nice is younger and cooler.
new malibu is looking better all the time.

NEW YORK (AP) - The NBA finals continue to draw far fewer viewers than last year.
The San Antonio Spurs' 75-72 victory over the Cleveland Cavaliers on Tuesday night received a 6.4 national rating and an 11 share on ABC, down 20 percent from the 8.0/14 for last year's Game 3 between the Dallas Mavericks and the Miami Heat.
The Game 3 drop follows a 30 percent plunge for Game 2 and a 19 percent decline for Game 1.
The rating is the percentage watching a telecast among all homes with televisions, and the share is the percentage tuned in to a broadcast among those households with televisions on at the time. A ratings point represents 1,114,000 households.
how could Mr. Stern permit this crap? EVERYONE HATES THE SPURS

new Xb weighs 600 pounds more. HOW WILL TOYOTA explain this to the ecoweenies? And people rip the Vue and Acadia for being porky.
image all the extra fuel sucking and all the extra Co2?
the Xb and Xd don't have real impressive fuel economy ratings.
-
Wow... 4 pages of posts, nothing from toyoguy yet. He must be hiding in a hole right now.
no, he's busy cleaning up shreds of metal from the engine bay. or trying to figure out why the new Xb and Xd get such poor gas mileage.

the 5 series looks different with different color combos. For example, white with black interior (and light colored interior accents) really makes it look nice. I have not liked some other colors.
While I sort of like the overall exterior look, I dislike immensely the business of the rear end and sculpted deck and schizoid taillights. The eyebrow front lights bother me.
Mostly what pisses me off about the 5 series design is the long hood short greenhouse proportion and stody upright pillars and small windows. the previous 5 series was moving towards a more aggressive proportion. The current 5 series throws it out and goes for the stodgy long hood and upright cabin look. And it has the tiny windows thing going on. It isn't a real sporty look. It's more of a stuffy formal car look. And it bothers me. It's too old school and too traditional. I even see the G8 as being a major improvement over that because on the G8 the front axle is pushed forward more to lessen the impact of the long engine bay and the hood slopes more than it does on the 5 series. The G8's A pillar is more rakish and the rear tumblehome is much nicer on the G8. I like the larger glass of the G8. I also like the simple clean rear of the G8.
One thing I do like about the 5 series is the door sculpting below the windows at the door sill. Probably the classiest door side treatment I've seen in recent memory.
Bottom line, the look the of the 5 series is too stuffy, but i could look past it if the drive is good.

So you and her were sliding it in the trunk huh? Did you get her number?
i would have offered to give her the furniture in exchange for favors returned to me but the wife was in the house so that probably would have been a no go.

I was doing yard work, today, so I had my gasolene mower, and my gasolene leaf blower out. It wasn't two minutes after I fired up the blower that some women and her boyfriend who were walking by, motioned to me to turn it off. I did, and she asked... 'Do you really need that? It wastes so much gas, and it pollutes.'
It's not the first time I've been bugged about it, either. I'm the one who has three properties to keep maintained, not her. Why can't people just mind their own business these days?
take 68's advice. rip off their head and pee down their throat.
so i advertised some furn. on graigslist and this hot chick comes out to buy it tonight. as we sliding it in the trunk of her jeep, she starts apologizing for having such a big suv. I'm like, 'what are you upset about, no one is going to trade in a vehicle for themself and a dog to just get 4-5 mpg better on something newer.' she was all impressed with that. she must be catching flak from her friends or something about driving an suv.

as f'ed up as the war effort is right now, please know this isn't really a war about WMD's as much as it is a war designed to aid in finding and removing Saddam Hussein.
I still find it comical that no one 'gets that'. Perhaps the most evil human on the planet. We found him, got him, he's toast and six feet under.
Does that mean we should still be in there, running around in circles? Probably does mean we need to get out.
Here's the deal, we are not in there with a full effort. People in this country don't get what war is about so they limit our resources. We are namby pamby in our commitment to anything because the softies in this country (90% of the population) think we make more of a difference making pretty signs and talking about global warming than we do to talk collectively as a nation and put forth the needed effrot to have full extermination of the pest. We do it in the name of votes.
I am sure if we had the resources and effort the govt really wants, we would wax ass all over that region and leave a definite message.
Problem is those folks over there are wacko. We could kick their ass with a lead pipe till they pass out and they would find a way to keep taking a beating over and over and over in the name of Allah.
War is ugly, and WWII was the last war we probably put forth the proper effort.
Truth be told, no one int he USA anymore really gets the amount of sacrifice that's required as a country to fight a real and proper war and win. Except for those oldsters who are almost no longer with us.
As a nation, we have no idea what it takes to win anymore, or how to fight. We have no fierce desire or belief to succeed. We have no concept of what it means to join together for a cause as a ####ry. We care more about American Idol and what is crawling around in Lindsay Lohan's snatch than we do foreign policy to protect our nation long term. The movers and shakers in the country as a matter of fact would prefer we fail as a nation and berate anything with an American basis. The grass is greener in Europe and Asia and everywhere else.
Meanwhile, our enemies become more resistant like viruses to antibiotics. It takes more and more to kick the bug.
We shouldn't have gotten into this war unless we could go full frontal in our assault. As it is, we probably only invest 10% of the effort we should. America is a collective nation of pansies and the other countries know it. You can bet if we put forth a real effort in Iraq you would have no suicide bombers and stuff. If we just went over there and let loose to get rid of the pest, I think you would see it end pretty quickly.
Our nation of pansies back home won't let it happen though because we don't want the reality of war that comes with it.
So our plan B never works, but the exception here is we removed Saddam and that alone is a major component of this whole 'to do'. Anyone who thinks it was not a good thing to remove Saddam and make him carbon ought to have their head examined.
The whole reason all the twinkies in this country are so focused on global warming and stuff right now is becuase they cannot figure out how to triumph over the real war going on and they want to get a big chubby about waging a causal / political war on something, so it feels good to champion the environment because you aren't killing anyone to win. You get to make signs and not cut your hair and chant little sayings and stuff, and you get to villify 'the big guy'. It all feels great and fuzzy and like your doing your part. But it really is taking focus away from how we really end this war and move on and put the pest in their place long term.

maybe these AWD components are compatible with the next epsilon.
