the Lancer is a nice companion to the Mazda 3. Together, those 2 represent better options than the really ugly civic and the dorky corolla. With the gas prices, lancer hits the market at exactly the right time, and its Evo cred and semi sporty attitude should mean good sales. Between Lancer and Outlander is where they revive their sales. I would much rather see Mits remain and grow again instead of having to deal with Hyundai, Kia, Suzuki seeing success here.

Accord Hybird are down since they have V6's and were aimed at 'enthusiasts' who wanted some power. But, they want power only.
One can't base the entire Hybrid car market on 1 product. Pruis INCENTIVES are up for example.
Honda can only go so far, though. The CRV seems to be their huge seller now.

As far as those professional women, oh yeah..they are head cases. or 'other' things. or they are just flat out princesses that think their beard don't stink and won't give it up for fun to anyone until that guy will give them a 2 carat rock so they can stay home and do nothing.
If a girl made it clear to me that she did not want sex from the start of a relationship, I can totally understand. What pisses me off is that your sex life is going great guns, then all of a sudden the plug is pulled. The excuses are many, like I am committing a sin to I want to make sure you do not only lust me.
It is just a power game. Most of those girls who do that always say "Koochi Power." Like Bob said, they are mostly single professional women, who feel that they can out-duel men and hence are superior. Well it is time to tell them to show their power to somebody else, cuz it is time to find another hiding place.
more and more in today's world i find that lots of women have major problems with being a woman. there's still all sorts of penis angst out there fellas. if they have a career, they all too often get the man vendetta because they have been told the men are keeping the women down. Sex (teasing, dressing slutty at work, being bitches in general and having it be forgiven because they are 'a woman') then becomes a big tool to help them gain an advantage in the workplace. If men acted at work like women do we'd all be fired long ago. Catty sluts who dress like hos get promoted and with big pay raises and allowed to do their jobs without having to do much work. The ugly fat girls end up doing tons of the real work, aside from the men who are always busting their asses.

no, the economy has been the $h!ter since 2001. It's just that up until now, the mortgage and home values industry could mask a lot of real problems. Now watch all hell break loose. Not even the bankers can engineer this to save us now. War, outsourcing, health care debacle, funding the oil industry's greed, declining wages (for most in this country) it's all gonna come to a head soon. We have to wait until 09 to look forward to seeing movement on fixing any of this, unfortunately.
Looking at some of the other imports sales declines (20-30% on a lot of core models) I am even more impressed with GM holding its own.
Tell me who has seen any prosperity or seen their situations get better in the US since 2001.

The problem with the new Sentra is even with a 200hp/6-speed powertrain, it's not even half as interesting as the 175hp/5-speed Sentra Spec V of last generation.
Yes. it has no performance appeal to it. the look suggests geeky commuter car. thanks to the borrowed Ion styling.

In all honesty - the new Sentra has moved up a slot. It's bigger and more expensive than the outgoing one (plus last year Nissan was selling the old-gen Sentra at fire-sale prices). When you add the Versa and new Sentra together, you get right about the same volume, which is what I think Nissan expected. I see plenty of the new Sentras around, and agree, they're ugly. I feel the same way for the whole Nissan lineup, but I seem to be in minority around here.
this is true also. The Sentras biggest flaw is the horrific interior. It's an absolutely miserable car interior in spite of its huge amount of space. It's not driver oriented and its cheap garbage all around. The fabrics might be the worst I've seen. the seats look cheap. The plastics are abysmal and none of the materials play off each other. Ghosn's cost cutting destroyed any appeal this car would have. None of the design is integrated and its got the horrible shifter placement that is less car and more minivan or something. The Versa to many is more appealing and takes enough sales away to doom the Sentra.
Another example of why the Mazda3 is the class of the field. Mazda did a bang up job on the 3.

Honda's PR didn't make it sound bad but look at the model sales and there is a buttload of reason to be concerned in Honda land. Take out Honda's cheaper established core models (accord, CRV, civic) and there is not much for Honda to be pleased about.

keep in mind the economy is in the $h!ter. foreclosures are abundant and housing permits here are down 53%. Nov 08 cannot come soon enough. New pres cannot be had soon enough. In the meantime, GM is holding its own very well in spite of lack of new models and in spite of high gas prices.

if she is being a dud like this NOW, imagine what it will be like 20 years from now. The holding out on sex bit as a tool works great for women to evolve it into leverage for other stuff. Or, it's a symptom of some deeper problem sometimes which you might not want part of. i.e. she could be messed up.
Might want to check out other stuff while you can...............commitment is nice, but if there is no ring involved, it ain't commitment yet. Take care of yourself first.

Wow... Mitsubishi had 630 some odd dealers in 2004... now it has 520 dealers.
520 dealers @ 12,047 mthly sales = 23 sales per dealer... however, what's Mitsubishi's fleet percentage?
Also, keep in perspective that Mitsubishi sold 345,922 cars in 2002... they're currently on track to sell less than 150k this year.
chrysler sells 7 vehicles per dealer per month lately i thought i read. I know from what buickman told me there are 2800 buick dealers and they likely are not selling much more these days until the enclave arrives. 13,024 was what Buick sold? Not much more.
Year-to-date, Mitsubishi sales are up 19.6%, compared to the January-April period in 2006.
"We are particularly pleased that sales of our all-new fuel-efficient 2008 Lancer are off to a tremendous start," said MMNA CEO Hiroshi Harunari. "At the same time our all-new Outlander crossover SUV continues to sell very well."
Lancer sales for the month were 3,860, up 263.5% compared to April 2006. This was the largest sales month for Lancer in nearly three years (May 2004).
Other April sales highlights:
Outlander closed at 2,047 units up 152.4% from last year's volume.
Endeavor sales were 1,375, up 3.4% from April 2006.
For six consecutive months - and nine of the last ten months - Mitsubishi sales have increased compared to the same month of the prior year.

2 years ago my wife said I could lease a GTO. I wanted to. It fit the budget.
it just wasn't practical. small trunk, less mpg, only 2 doors, rwd only.
it would be nice to get something you both want and need but when something like the Edge which I like still comes without manual shift control it just pisses me off. There is still a lot of dumb things automakers do to force you go for need instead of want when you could have both.
