  1. See the Members Ride for pics. Its harder than I thought to capture the wine colored metalflake in the paint.
  2. I'd have to look into that. If you are going by BuyPower or GMC.com, I'm not sure their info is 100% accurate. For instance try and build UM8 Nav Radio into anything but a 3SS TB and its a no go on the web. But mine is coming with it. I wouldnt be suprised to find out you could do it, but it may not be publicized. And actually what sucks for GMC buyers is that Chevy and Saab get all 3 engines, and GMC does without the 6.0. By the way, I pick it up later this week. So pics next week weather permitting. Next on the agenda.... replace my car (GXP) in spring.
  3. The day I can get as good a discount on a Ford as I can a GM, I'd at least think about it. Honestly though, the only blue oval products that appeal to me are the Mustang and MKZ (although I liked it better named Zephyr). You gotta go the premium brands they have to find anything else I'd like.
  4. Even better its sitting on the lot right now.
  5. The 3LT trim level comes in two-tone. Since it will be my wife's vehicle and she likes the dark cherry color, voila - there it is. Yes, the 5.3 with Active Fuel Mgt is optional on the TB. Not as much hp as the SS 6.0L but 300 is a good number. Funny part is that its hard to find on a lot. Everybody has a bunch of I6s and a few SSs, but not many 5.3s at all. Most dealers have none in this area. Might pull the trigger soon.
  6. No, thanks.
  7. Well, thats where I started. Then I found out that the payments were well over $500/month.
  8. And the leading candidate to replace it is.... '08 Trailblazer with 5.3L, Nav radio, roof and 18" rims
  9. I sometimes smile and blow a kiss to someone who's like that in traffic. I think it ticks them off more.
  10. Saw a camo'd Challenger (black) on the freeway today. Saw an uncamo'd Ford Flex on the freeway last week.
  11. Enjoy...
  12. Another recent find...
  13. Here are some recent Greenlight finds...

    Crossings

The new 280 bridge in Toledo, at dusk. Not a great picture, but shows the programmable lighting in the center. This one opened this summer. Then I was also in another city with lots of bridges (and tunnels) this week.
  15. OK, maybe more than a couple years (the mailing tube is postmarked June '97).
  16. Several years ago WAW had Larry Shinoda do sketches of a Cavalier (I think) with '55 Chevy styling. If I can find it, I will post pics.
  17. There is also a maroon GN.
  18. From the Kmart collectors event last weekend...
  19. For those who are curious as to what you may find inside the black blister-pack....
  20. The problem here is that you assume Batman is the first usage it was in. Besides, Batman was on TV, I dont think it was a movie back then. http://www.1966batmobile.com/background.htm I didnt know most of this either. But its cool info.
  21. Holy Concept Car, Batman! Lincoln Futura, aka the Batmobile.

    Time...

Yeah, each one is built out of a bunch of overlapping hand drawn pieces to create the effect. I just exported as a .gif to post them here. They look better in Powerpoint. I had the urge to do the GP as I was doing some research on them, since I came across one to buy at a good price.

    Time...

Being home from work today, I had a little time on my hands, so I made this PowerPoint graphic of the '86 Grand Prix 2+2. I will post a pic of the Z06 I did some time ago as well. Nice part about these being PPT graphics is that when you scale them, they stay looking good. Either I need to figure out how to make money doing silly stuff like this or find better things to do with my time.
