  1. I agree. The pricing is not aggressive enough. The midsize segment is hypercompetitive, and it's highly improbable that anyone is going to be attracted to the Aura because of this pricing. Taking Saturn's no-haggle pricing into account, the average Aura will likely cost more out-the-door than your typical Accord or Camry. And that's too bad because I believe that the Aura needed to signficantly undercut the competition in order to have a fighting chance.Aside from Saturn's no-dicker stickers and 3.6 DOHC, GM is essentially repeating the exact approach that it took with the 2005 G6. When the G6 first launched, there was no 4-cylinder model and most of the cars on the dealers' lots were in the $23K-$27K range. And customers laughed and walked away.
  2. All '07 G6s with 6-cylinder engines will also be getting hydraulic steering.
  3. Amen. It's nice that they ditched the crappy electric steering on all V6 models of the '07 G6 and Aura, but why not eliminate it from all Epsilons? Yes, I'm sure that the bean counters love the electric P.S. because it's undoubtedly cheaper. Great, GM saves $50 per car or whatever. Meanwhile, how many sales have been lost because anyone who craves any steering-feel at all is going to be disappointed by an E.P.S.-equipped Malibu or G6? The old saying "penny wise, pound foolish" applies to a lot of GM's actions. In the effort to shave off a few bucks here and there, they end up making cars that don't appeal to a majority of buyers.
  4. The editor's note at the beginning indicates that the questions are from JJP (Janice J. Putnam). Whichh comments about the Aura did you find laughable?
  5. How 'bout spoilers? Is the spoiler still standard on the GTP sedan? Did they ever add a "spoiler delete" option?
  6. Standard leather-wrapped steering wheel and shift knob would be nice, but I'm glad that the sunroof isn't standard. A lot of folks (like me) don't want a sunroof. It's much better to keep that as an option rather than to force it on everyone. I remember that a lot of BMW customers were upset when the sunroof was made standard in the 3-series and 5-series.
  7. Where are you seeing the '07 G6 specs?
