  1. Well, I know I'll probably be going to Pittsburgh quite a bit, because I have some friends at UPitt. I'm hoping that there might be some good outdoor recreation that doesn't require going all the way to Presque Isle (sp?). I was kind of guessing that it might be similar to the little towns in Wyoming, like I where I grew up...I guess I'm not looking for anyting too specific...the only places I've ever lived have been fairly small, except for Kansas City

  2. Hey guys, I know that at least some of you are from PA, and was hoping you could help me out. I am supposed to be moving to Grove City in about a month, and was hoping someone could tell me what the area is like. All I know is that it's a small town about half way between Pittsburgh and Erie. So what kind of recreation is there, is it a nice area, etc?

  3. Maybe, just maybe, its because there isn't a large enough market to support them, and the market there is for such a vehicle is pretty loyal to the Jeep name.

I think it might be partly that, but I also think that if another automaker offered something in the class I'd consider it. I already know the front runner for replacing my Grand Cherokee is the 2011 Grand Cherokee, possibly a Toureg, or Pathfinder but those are more unlikely. If GM offered a midsize SUV (or even a CUV that has some real offroad prowess) I'd definitely consider it...

  4. I think the Yeti is cool, but at the same time, I wonder how many Americans really want to decide between multiple diesels and gasoline engines. I think that even fewer would choose a manual transmission. I would like the options and I'm sure alot of other people here would, but we aren't typical consumers, and in reality it could end up being a waste of development money...

  5. If the dealer will not go 300 miles you need a new dealer. I have had several cars come in from that far in the past in dealer trades. It was never hard for me to get them to do it if they want to sell a car bad enough.

I agree, I used to do deliveries and trades for the local Nissan/Honda dealership here and we would drive to Denver, Salt Lake, and lots of places in between all the time. Denver is only about 130 miles, but Salt Lake is almost 400

It's just a shame that you've had so many problems, especially since it is for someone else...

  6. Saw an ad today for the Buick LaCrosse while reading my Hispanic Business magazine and noticed something that made me laugh. The ad shows the LaCrosse CXS and ES 350 side by side and has a list of features and awards, but the very last line says "Desaceleracion del vehiculo robado" It basically translates to "stolen vehicle slow down." It then says "no disponable" (not available) under the ES and "OnStar/ 1 ano estandar" (one year standard) under the Buick. I know GM has been advertising this for a while now, but it made me think of the ES's acceleration issue... Made me wonder if it was meant to be a slap in the face...

  7. You can't have had REAL Mexican food

I don't think most people realize that "Mexican food" and "Chinese food" are extremely Americanized in 95% of restaraunts. Then again, to me real mexican food involves mostly beans, rice, potatoes, and meat. It's the way my grandparents/parents raised all of us kids. There is alot of unique foods that people don't see though. I especially love Cuban and Brazilian food too.

  8. Hate pecan pie

    With you on that one.

    Also: chocolate/chocolate flavored stuff

    raw onions

    breads/cookies with nuts in them...bleh

Can't forget Taco Bell either...haven't eaten it in years, and don't plan to ever again.

Otherwise, if it's edible I'll probably eat it

  9. I agree with Olds on this one...if he found a buyer and was going to repay the loan, the bank had ABSOLUTELY no right to foreclose on him. Trying to make a (bigger) profit off of him instead of just taking what they originally had agreed to is bull$h!.

  10. While the prospect of a Regal wagon (and coupe too) excite me, all I can see that has Buick badges in those pictures are the sedans in the first pic. The rear shot is hard to see the badge, and on the front shot of the wagons, I can see a horizontal grille, not vertical...am I missing something here?

  11. I voted for the GMC, but mostly because I like the interior design better. (I also think it's a very handsome SUV that has aged well.) The lower miles on the Buick and the fact that it's a Buick make it a good decision as well.

  12. I think Denny's is marginal, but I think Waffle House borders on disgusting.

I think Waffle House is the sketchiest place I've ever eaten, but I still love the food. Plus, I usually see less of those interesting people there than at Denny's
