  1. With regards to Alpha flexibility - Sigma goes away on the next generation of CTS and Cadillac has made it plain that they intend to use the CTS to compete with the E-Class and 5-series head to head on size both internal and external. The next CTS is Alpha. Given the weight reductions GM has shown here and the weight gain BMW has shown on the 5-series, the world could end up turned upside down.
  2. I think the 140 is the way the ELR goes into production. It becomes the Cruze coupe with e-Assist and then there is the ELR above the Volt with the Voltec power train.
  3. Then I expect Epsilon III, if there ever is such a beast, will bear little resemblance to the current one.
  4. Why ya'll hatin on the upright rear glass? Everyone has a fastback these days... a freaking Camry has a long sloping rear window.
  5. The 140S gives them the ability to also make the ELR. I have my doubts the 130R will see production
  6. It's just like beating all competitors but one on base engine horsepower isn't enough either. If you need more power, then buy the turbo.
  7. The 140S is Delta based. It shares with Cruze, Volt, Verano, and hopefully ELR. The Code 130R (the red one) is Alpha based. It is RWD and share the same wheelbase and track as the ATS. It was designed for only inline 4 cylinders, so they didn't need to leave room up front for a V6.
  8. The Mustang is 3700 lbs in base form. This is a sedan that weighs 3400 in base form. That give Chevy a lot of wiggle room. Another perspective: In base form, the ATS is 100lbs more than a Verano and 200lbs less than a Regal.
  9. If trunk space is really a concern for you, I can direct you across the showroom to the XTS. Trunk space there is huge. Not by my standards. The XTS also suffers from tall, stubby trunk syndrome. The XTS easily rivals any car out there still in production in trunk room.
  10. Fixed. At any rate, its a real looker, competes withe the Optima for best looking midsizer. Much better proportionately than the new Malibu. The Hybrid posts some impressive fuel economy estimates. The Engeri even more so, if it gets 100 MPGe it'll be more efficient than the Volt, which is hugely impressive for the bigger Ford an quite embarrassing for the Volt. No, I don't mean that. I mean that I need a new glasses prescription and apparently so does Z-06 because as we approached the white one from a distance from a direct side view we both wondered aloud why there was a Jaguar in the Ford area.
  11. Guys, I just uploaded a bunch more pics of these two concepts into the same gallery listed in the first post. On the Tru 140S (the matte white one) - look at that from the side. There is your business case for the Cadillac ELR right there.
