Video: "Total Recall" featurette: Hover Car

- Watch how the producers of the upcoming remake of "Total Recall" choose not to use CGI to create the hover cars used in the film and the technology they employed to make these cars "real".

*I've got to say I'm excited to see this remake. I know a lot of people, myself included, complain that Hollywood recycles more than creates today, but I was a fan of the original 1990 movie though the special effects were definitly not up to par in that movie. From the trailers I've been interested in seeing this futuristic "car" chase scene and glad to know that CGI was not fully employed to capture this part. Interesting featurette, wacth it if you've got some time to kill :)

I agree, while I have been disappointed with the lack of new material, the 1990 version is one of my all time favorites and this movie has me pumped as well. Love the video on how they did those cars and while not a fan of the man they choose to play the lead roll, I do love both woman they got even better than the original movie. :metal:

Yahoo has another article/feature stating the differences in this version from the 1990 version, saying that there's enough differentiation to not consider this a remake:

That review makes me even more excited to go see the movie. Seems they actually did a complete different storyline. Both movies followed the book basic of memory recall, but clearly have different stories and places.

I am excited to see Kate and Jessica fight. Too very hot woman! :P
