  1. I should have included this for a laugh. Sometimes, Google Maps does a great job of telling you where you are but scratch its head when it comes to providing directions to get you somewhere.

  2. My Jeep nav a couple times has made it look like I was driving in a river or parked in Lake Erie...

  3. What you said about the Parisienne was true, but I neeed to add something as I always do when people talk about Parisienne. The 1977-1981 Pontiac Parisienne and Bonneville were the same car on both sides of the border: 1980-1981 Bonneville: 1980-1981 Parisienne: What you said about the 1983-1984 Pontiac Parisienne was true. It was based off the Chevrolet Caprice, but it offered Oldsmobile Eighty Eight Royale Brougham seats in 1984. The 1985-1986 Pontiac Parisienne had more than just the 1980-1981 sheetmetal in the rear. It had the 1980-1981 Pontiac Bonneville/ Parisienne rear sheet metal, the seats, the door panels/cards and more. It did have the Caprice front end with a Chevrolet grille and Chevrolet Caprice instruementation panel. The video makes many that started this topic makes many valid points. I personally would take these two from the 1980's eventhough I drive and own the 1990's versions of these two cars:

  4. @Robert Hall Like you, the R34 is my over all favorite for the Skyline series. When I saw the Midnight Purple, I immediately thought of the following auto that I drove in college over in Kobe. This is what Midnight Purple on the R34 was and what it should be again.

  5. I like that green...the R32-R34 generations were better looking cars, IMO. I love the R34 styling..

  6. This was shocking. The Airplanes sub-forum is intended to be a celebration of airplanes and aviation. The following does not qualify, so it's here in Random Thoughts. You know how when you sometimes get a snippet of a piece of the news and the gravity doesn't sink in? Well, it sounded like 2 planes in Tokyo bumped into each other while taxiing or maneuvering and would need to be repaired. Far from it. https://www.bbc.com/news/world-asia-67879308 This was an actual crash as a newer JAL A350 had landed at Tokyo Haneda and clipped a smaller aircraft with 6 people in it while moving on the runway at high speed. Five of the six people in the small craft died (the pilot is in serious condition) and everyone on the Airbus 350 - 379 people - made it out in time as they plane was starting to catch fire. They filed out to the different slides and listened NOT to reach for their carry-ons. The hull is a complete loss. They are investigating the situation and Airbus experts have gone to Tokyo to assist, but people have some general ideas about what happened. This hearkens back to the weirdness of Air France 358 from Paris to Toronto where the A340 overshot the runway (there was no other plane involved), went into an embankment on the side of the big 401 expressway, broke up, caught fire, and yet everyone was able to exit the aircraft and survive the crash.

  7. I will say this, while the specifications are cool on this GT-R, it LOST something in this version as the Skyline R33 and R34 still has greater appeal to me in style than this version does. I was excited to read that they brought back Purple till I realized the Midnight Purple is not the Skyline Purple that was popular in Japan and is just another Black version with hints of purple depending on the angle of view. I do like the Millennial Green they offer.
