  1. WOW, better bland styling than the last generation, but still blah. The interior is freaking crazy and ugly to me. The cut up dash with layers and buttons all over just looks like an after thought.

Not a fan of this car at all, the MPG are impressive if they hold up in real world, but I doubt it. After all we do not live in a perfect society. All Car makers should have to have real world EPA figures not these perfect world EPA figures.

  2. My suburban is stored for the season, summer is over for now in Seattle since work will have me tied up for the last couple weeks so I will not need it to haul the waverunners or pull anything else. At least it got cleaned up and then stored dry for the season. :P

Do you get it back out for winter use?

Nope, wround here my suburban has become a summer driver only as my Trailblazer SS awd and Escalade AWD get me around in the fall and winter rains and up the pass for skiing. It is nice having a deep bench of American Steel to choose from. :D

Gotcha. I want to lay a patio in my backyard, with a path around the garage to the driveway.... but I haven't gotten around to it and I already have all the pavers.

I found that the blend or crushed gravel as we call it in seattle is best for the base and then sand on top before working the pavers and you end up with an amazing space that drains really well.

  3. Sports cars should definitely be the focus..a modern Spyder and a coupe of some sort. The market is flooded w/ FWD subcompacts, compacts, CUVs and other appliances..they need unique selling points.

Very true, if you are going to come back into a market that you trashed, then you need to come in with quality product that is special and different than the competition. FWD Appliances and cuv's are available in droves, give us what we are lacking.

  4. I do not miss SAAB. My mom had a 1995 SAAB 9000 CSE that I recommended because I had a summer job at that dealership at the time (Said dealership was shuttered in 2009.). That 9000 CSE was little more than a piece of junk. Worse yet, when the dealer shop found that there was a major engine problem, it was sent back to Sweden never to return. I have hated SAAB ever since. Good riddance. Instead of buying SAAB in 1990, GM should have corrected their financial and product issues instead!

I totally agree, GM should have spent the money on cleaning up their own house and it might have not only kept them out of Bankruptcy but also allowed them to get to better products sooner.

SAAB was the biggest black hole anyone could have purchased. It should have died far sooner than it did.

  5. Do you mean new new or old new?

Old new. It's an '09 with a hair over 10K miles, and still incredibly clean.

Way to go, you are not the problem, they are. I have found you have 3 kinds of bikers.

The morons who think they are better than everyone else and their bike no matter what the age or miles or condition is supiorer to anything else out there.

The thugs, these are gang bangers who find it cool to be in a gang, dehuminize men or woman who are not part of them and still think they have superior product that is better than new or reasonable used.

Last is the Resonable person, these people love bikes, but decide it is time for someone else to enjoy their ride at a reasonable price.

In regards to the ad's you posted, all are way over priced and I see nothing special about them to justify the price. Ask them for better details as to why the price they ask is justifiable compared to KBB as a guide for price? You are being fare and professional and if they want to respond as a dick, so let them. No hair off your back.

  6. Here's another '90 GMC Suburban for sale that has the tan interior:

Good thing it is priced so low, new tires, new engine, being in NJ where they use heavy salt, I wonder just how much hidden rust there is plus why no interior pictures if it is so great. I love the look and the body does look awesome, but would like to see the back side and drivers side plus the interior in the pics. It would help it sell much faster.

  7. why would suzuki need to merge when they sell over 2.5 million vehicles a year. Footnote, Suzuki USA made money and was in the black in the US last year. The low volume production is likely the mode until the next wave of new products comes out in a year or two, the number of dealerships has stabilized and while obviously the advertising and such is not to the level of the big boys, the business plan for the next year or two is just to run lean, be in the black and once the new products come out the and VW situation is resolved, grow volume again.

Since reaching black was due to cost cutting and gutting of the network, products and marketing, I do not see this as sustainable.

I do not see the Suzuki product line as surviving on it's own without a long term tie up with a much bigger auto company or merging with a couple smaller companies to save costs and build a broader portfolio.

We live in global times and this is a small pea size company that I do not see surviving as is.

  8. I suspect these auto's are already out of the country and on their way to some other place that could care less if they are hot. If not out of the country, then they are parts by now. Chopped up and sold off as looking at official BMW sites for x6 parts or x5 parts shows things are 4 to 6 weeks out for delivery of parts. I suspect someone thought of a fast way to make a few bucks.

  9. This is a smart move in this politically charged time since the GOP wanted them both dead and the Demo's came to the rescue. This reduces ammo and a mud slinging that could come out of a visit to the companies.

Question, if GOP is all about the US, why they hell do most GOP people I know drive German or Asian cars rather than support their country's businesses? Why is the GOP so big about out sourcing jobs to other countries. Could it have something to do with bringing back a cast system to America and keeping people in their spot rather than letting people full fill their dream?

As an independent, I feel people should be voting people into a position based on their skill set and not a party agenda.

I am all for seperating the VP and P and make all positions individual votes as well as not requiring people to have to choose a party affiliation.

  10. First they need a decent Lincoln to sell! What are they thinking?

This is so true, my first feeling was that they need to build a luxury car first and then they need to truly make it/market it different than a ford.

They have a long way to go before they will be a competitive force in China.

Hope they are looking at what everyone else is doing.

  11. Suzuki needs to merge with mitsu and mazda, this is one company that also has a sparse portfolio and while the few products are pretty good up to a point, they could use working with a larger group to lower costs and improve/expand product offerings.

  12. One they need to drop the price ASAP even if it means taking a bigger loss to get more of these cars out there. Prius currently has a large lead on the volt and if they plan to get more market share, they need to do the same at toyota and jump in with lower prices to move inventory and take market share.

Two, they need to roll out this technology to more models sooner rather than later. If they had a volt drive train on a minivan that could handle 5 or 7 passengers they would truly sell more. A 4 person auto is very limiting.

Three, they need to pump up marketing of the volt and made in the USA to get this selling more.
