During the unveiling of the latest five-year plan for Fiat Chrysler Automobiles, Alfa Romeo revealed that it would have two more SUVs by 2022. Next month could be bringing some big news for Alfa Romeo. Autocar is reporting that FCA CEO Sergio Marchionne will be announcing a new large SUV and Giulia coupe at the company's Balocco test track in Italy. If you thought Alfa Romeo was going to stop with just doing the Giulia sedan, think again. Motoring has learned that Alfa Romeo is planning to show a Giulia coupe at the Geneva Motor Show next month. The report says the coupe will revive the Sprint name and take on the likes of the Audi A5, BMW 4-Series, and Mercedes-Benz C-Class coupe. It seems we are finally coming to the end of a long tunnel with the Alfa Romeo Giulia as the company has announced pricing for the lineup that will begin selling this month. It seems whenever we write a news story about Alfa Romeo, it usually is for bad news. This is no different. Road & Track has learned from various journalists who attended the U.S. launch of the Giulia that there were no manual vehicles available. An odd omission since the U.S. was the only market going to get a manual transmission for Giulia Quadrifoglio and this transmission was available for those attending the European launch. You have to wonder who was asleep or not paying any attention at Alfa Romeo during the editing of a video. Because a video that was published and subsequently made private possibly revealed the upcoming Stelvio crossover. Motor Trend reports that in a video posted on Fiat Chrysler Automobile's YouTube page, there is a crossover on Fiat's Cassino assembly plant in Italy that appears to be going through an inspection. Thanks to a spy photographer, we got our first look at the upcoming Alfa Romeo Stelvio crossover. The front end gives away this camouflaged vehicle is an Alfa as it has a rounded triangle grille. The headlights are slightly covered up, but we think they could be the same slim units as found in the Giulia. The box on the rear end looks to be trying the hide the shape of the rear tailgate. There is a next-generation Alfa Romeo Giulietta coming and it could be going with rear-wheel drive. After some leaked photos made their way on the internet yesterday, Alfa Romeo introduced the Giulia at the company's museum today. The design looks to be a fusing of the 8C supercar and the 159 sedan. Alfa says the Giulia is around the “technical architecture” of the car.
