  2. It would appear that much like GM's Pontiac G8, too little too late as they say, Kia is looking at the same thing in regards to the Kia Stinger. Under 14,000 were sold in 2019. The performance Hot 4 door sedan just never brought in the buyers they thought it would and now with Covid-19, sales have plummeted to the point that Kia is thinking of shelving the refresh and just killing off the Hot 4 door RWD sedan. One that you could get loaded for less than $40,000. https://www.thedrive.com/news/33178/the-kia-stinger-might-die-for-being-the-best-car-no-one-is-buying Have to say that the Jeep Gladiator is Cool. Whether or not it is $44,000 dollars cool I leave it to everyone else to decide. https://www.thedrive.com/new-cars/33064/2020-jeep-gladiator-mojave-first-drive-review-the-jeep-that-jumps This is the Mojave by the numbers: Base Price: $43,875 Powertrain: 3.6-liter V6 | six-speed manual transmission (eight-speed automatic optional) | rear-wheel drive/four-wheel drive with low range Horsepower: 285 hp Torque: 260 lb-ft Ground Clearance: 11.6 inches Off-Road Angles: 44.7° approach | 20.9° breakover | 25.5° departure Max Towing Capacity: 6,000 pounds Max Payload Capacity: 1,200 pounds EPA Fuel Economy: 16/23/19 mpg city/highway/combined (manual transmission) | 17/22/19 mpg city/highway/combined (automatic transmission) The promise: Jeep’s answer to the F-150 Raptor The delivery: A desert runner that makes up for its lackluster powertrain with sheer capability
  3. Toyota has a new Global Platform for EV's and ICE auto's and they first 3 EVs are going on sale this week in China as the start of Toyota delivering 10 new EVs by 2025. https://electrek.co/2020/04/27/all-electric-lexus-goes-on-sale-in-china-this-week-two-toyota-evs-to-follow/#more-131746 Lexus UX 300e Toyota CH-R EV Last model listed that is on sales but no picture is the Toyota Izoa. Toyota said EVs are for the future and the younger generation who is open to change. As such the next 3 models are focused on those born 1990 and newer. AKA the younger generations. As such, we have the Concept Rhombus EV from Toyota that is supposed to appeal to the youthful. Toyota Rhombus EV I get what you say and for the 26 million out of work, yes going back to the construction jobs, restaurants, fast food, service based industry is understandable. The point being is we have proven that millions can work from home removing them from the roads and wasting hours a day on commute. This also is a reduction on people on the road so those that have jobs like you where you work on site at various places also have a shorter commute.
  4. Toshiba has achieved a major milestone with their latest generation of SCiB Lithium Ion battery getting Class NK certification. This allows the battery cells to be used in Marine applications. Hybrid Container ships and other forms of commercial hybrid power trains. https://chargedevs.com/newswire/toshibas-scib-battery-system-meets-classnk-guidelines-for-ships/ On another front, we are making big strides in solid state batteries that removes totally the fire issue that traditional Lithium Ion batteries have. This new Solid State Lithium Ion battery not only have much higher energy density, but also higher temperature capability 1200 degrees before degradation of power efficiency happens. https://chargedevs.com/newswire/researchers-make-ceramic-based-flexible-electrolyte-sheets-for-lithium-metal-batteries/ Final bit of news is that Renault has ended ICE auto sales in China and will move forward selling EVs only ahead of the 2030 mandate by the Chinese government. https://chargedevs.com/newswire/renault-to-sell-only-electric-cars-in-china/

  7. Awesome video, great to see it working right.
  8. Due to this happening on one of my past auto's, I no longer try and be nice about exchanging insurance info and then go from there. I now always call the police and get a report so proof of who is at fault is there to protect my rights.
  9. @oldshurst442 @riviera74 Chevrolet has shown and proven that a EV Camaro Coupe can still inspire and hold it's own at the Race track. Add a SS Inspired CUV like my Trailblazer SS as an EV to the family I believe could truly be different and yet inspiring to those that do not care about cars. This would keep many customers happy with an AWD SS Camaro CUV EV.
  10. Shake it!
  11. Lead Paint
  12. @riviera74 Totally agree with you that this would fit in the rivalry. I actually believe Chevrolet could add Camaro CUV to the name and do well.

  14. Tan Door Pull in the right of the pic.

  16. ? The tan seatbelts with the faded maroon seats, buckling plastic dash and fake plastic wood with the Maroon when new, now brown carpet and the falling apart drivers door panel along with all the pine sented trees that would tell me it has a water leak mildew problem. Plus who the hell would put a blue dash with blue plastic piller pieces with a maroon seat and carpet. ? Plus is that an oldsmobile steering wheel I see?
  17. Be interesting to see which power trains if any get AWD.

  19. Chinese knock off of the Mercedes version? Bzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz BIG TIME! ?
  20. Yet additional perspective is that some auto lines, specifically Cadillac is well known for their Vertical Tailights and Headlights and the Chevrolet headlights on the 2021 Escalade is just TERRIBLE and says Cheap to me. They should have stayed with the vertical headlights complementing the Vertical Tail Lights.
  21. I am not, Body side molding such as what was on my 1994 Suburban which I removed are for lazy people who have no respect for other's auto's IMHO. Respect others auto's and expect the same for yours. Even with that said, I can say that my SS has gotten a few door dings and I have spent the money to have the door ding specialists remove them to keep her perfect. Part of auto ownership and the nice clean look it gives the auto when you look down the side. Over all I am glad the ugly rubber ribs down the middle of the side are gone. They did not help the look or flow of an auto. Like @oldshurst442 said, if ya got a new auto or your a bit OCD like me, then you park out far away from the lazy people who do not respect others auto's and ding them.
  22. Yes you can get a less powerful FWD ICE version.
  23. Seems a Tornado hit the Borgwarner manufacture plant and as such it is expected that when production resumes at Ford, Toyota and Ram plants, the trucks are going to have delays due to getting parts, specifically the transfer cases built by Borgwarner. https://www.caranddriver.com/news/a32239493/borgwarner-plant-damaged-tornado/ To Quote: A tornado that hit a BorgWarner factory in Seneca, South Carolina, on April 13 could have repercussions for future truck production by Ford, Ram, and Toyota. The plant makes the transfer cases for four-wheel-drive versions of the F-150 and Super Duty, Ram pickup, and Toyota Tundra, as well as Ford SUVs and utility vehicles. The automakers aren't producing the vehicles now, with the earliest resumption of work at the factories set for early May. GM seems to be hitting it big for their Buick MPV van in China. Seems an Avenir version for the chauffeur segment as well as a new disability model. https://media.gm.com/media/cn/en/gm/home.detail.html/content/Pages/news/cn/en/2020/Apr/0423_Buick-GL8-MPV-Portfolio.html
  24. WOW, Mercedes-Benz a company building and bringing you over priced hard plastic interior under the AMG name at a $74,000 price for what is a cheap ass CLA auto. CLA-45 should be a hard pass for anyone when you can get a superior Cadillac V for less. https://www.cnet.com/roadshow/reviews/2020-mercedes-benz-amg-cla-45-4matic-coupe-review/ ? Pebble Beach this year is Canceled due to the curent Pandemic. https://www.cnet.com/roadshow/news/2020-pebble-beach-concours-canceled-coronavirus/
  25. As mentioned in another thread about how Toyota should just make the Hybrid their top of the line auto. Seems that with the Geneva auto show being shutdown due to the current pandemic, we are only now seeing this happen as the Toyota Yaris CUV Crossover is now their top of the line version in that model and you get Hybrid power with AWD if you want. https://www.motor1.com/news/414278/2021-toyota-yaris-cross-revealed/ https://motorsport.tv/4e1e2a22-e22c-4e00-9074-a6747408a9f7
