  1. @regfootball Maybe they are testing a truck suspension on that mazda.
  2. Awesome Parallel parking mode. Just pull up next to the space, hit the parallel parking button and have the auto slide into a tight spot on the street of your favorite downtown place.
  3. I would think a turbo 4 banger tweaked to maximum performance in balance with long life would be a better solution for a GS over a buttery smooth V6. I expect this auto to be gone by 2021.
  4. Very cool, pictures please, would love to see it.
  5. Here is some current crazy updates, the bike from Dumb and Dumber just sold for $50,000 https://www.rideapart.com/articles/245219/update-mini-bike-from-dumb-and-dumber-sells-for-50k/ John Lennons Honda Z50 mini bike just sold for $80,000 https://www.rideapart.com/articles/246247/update-john-lennons-mini-bike-sells-for-record-breaking-80k/ Much more for those that like bikes to review on what is up for auction. https://www.rideapart.com/tag/auction/ The T2 bike finally sold to a private buyer with only 362 miles on the bike for a crazy $480,000 dollars. https://motorbikewriter.com/arnie-terminator-fat-boy-auction/
  6. Very cool write up on the VW MEB platform. https://chargedevs.com/features/a-look-at-volkswagens-meb-architecture/
  7. That really sucks, this is the one time with the AT4 that GM should be making a noticeable difference and at least be a couple inches of more ground clearance. Thanks for keeping us informed, that is good to know and also shows why people will continue to go with the Trailhawk over the AT4. Stupid penny pinching mgmt.
  8. Protean Electric is proud to introduce their latest innovation to the auto world, the Protean 360+. A super-efficient, fully integrated in-wheel motor that brings 922lb-ft of torque or 1250Nm with 107hp or 80kW of power per wheel. This give the mobility solution a total of 428 hp or 320 kW of power with 3,688 lb-ft or 5,000 Nm of torque to move the auto. Urban mobility has never had a better option for ultimate maneuverability with the Protean 360+ delivering the following: Limitless 360-degree steering provides exceptional vehicle maneuverability. Pneumatic ride-height control enables 'kneeling' for stepless curb-to-vehicle access. Patent-pending quad-pivot lower wishbone design allows ultra-compact suspension setup. Fully integrated in-wheel motor delivers power with maximum efficiency. Module enables front, rear and side access into vehicles. Single module design is common across all four corners of the vehicle. Transport-as-a-service urban mobility is gaining momentum and with it a new class of urban transport auto's is possible with the Protean 360+ solution. 10. I give them 24 months for either becoming black due to the Model Y, Pickup truck and Semi if they actually get them all to market. My gut tells me that Tesla could end up having a major Chinese owner with a large share of the company for some serious coin to stay afloat.
  11. Closer, you could just dump the stupid 4 name and role those models back into the 3 series the way it was before and I could go for holding onto the 7 series.
  12. So they could just kill everything except the following: 3,4 and 5 series auto's X3, X5 and X7 CUVs. The rest can just go to the history books.
  13. On top of that, as other auto makers from startup Rivian who starts full scale production in September to GM, MB, etc. start bringing their EVs to market this fall and spring of next year, Tesla is gonna have a much bigger group of competition to deal with and their dated design and incentives will not be enough to change this. If reports are true that the S and X will also go to the cheaper single center screen but just nicer interior materials, it will be harder for them to really sell that at the mark ups they are pushing. Then put on top of this that there are pictures of an EV Escalade of which GM has been saying an auto like that will have at least a 400 mile range battery pack, I think Tesla is gonna be in a big world of hurt come this time next year.
  14. That because the engines die and a plethora of other problems. My sister had an 04 Dakota crew cab with the V8 and by 80K miles the engine was dead. Dodge took care of them as all the maintenance was done via the dealer, but 2nd gen Dakota's just seem to be garbage compared to gen 1.
  15. I say there are PLENTY of people who are in the inability camp that drive full size pickups that are fairly new and beat to hell as they cannot seem to avoid hitting things, opening doors and smacking things and rubbing against the curb and my all time favorite observation is the plethora of Morons that cannot seem to PARK said full size pickups in a parking spot. Wish the auto companies would give the trucks better turning radius too while I am on my soapbox. Remember when Toyota advertised on their 1/2 ton to 1 ton mini pickup trucks to show that you did not need a full size to do the job. Those trucks sold big time. Bet GM could gain additional sales if they did a 1/2, 3/4 and 1 ton mid size pickup.
  16. Sounds like the german brands you speak of.
  17. I would question that the mid size market needs full size beds. When looking at what the bulk of the beds being bought on mid size trucks, Jeep Gladiator even being a premium mid size truck with the smallest bed will and should do well in sales. I think the 6' or 5'6" beds will be the bulk of sales especially on the crewcab models.
  18. Seems we be in a bear market. NOW It's A Bear Market http://flip.it/3OhTmW
  19. So true, would take this over the Chevrolet or Ford current look, I do like the current GMC though.
  20. Awesome conversion!
  21. Agree, that would be a deal breaker for me. I am buying a Buick, not their dealership. No tag on my auto, or deal is off. Glad west coast dealers or at least in the PNW that has not happened yet.
  22. I am thinking if you plan this right you would run conduit in the walls with a proper hole drill. Kinda like the cement homes that are very energy efficient here. Walls are 18" thick, you put up the forms, re bar and run all the conduit for electrical and for plumbing. Once the walls are poured and dried, you come back with the wiring to run through one set of conduit and then run the new long strands of hot and cold water tubing through the other set of conduit. Very interesting having a cold water and hot water patch panel to connect to all the long runs of water tubing. This is how the homes here are now being built, not a fan of this compared to reliable copper tubing.
  23. Just saw this at the light coming home from working out. #spartanstrong ? Not sure what year, but I leave that to the pro's. @balthazar @Robert Hall Have a great weekend all!
  24. New Cadillac Dealership opens in Europe. http://cadillacsociety.com/2019/08/02/new-cadillac-dealership-opens-in-kazakhstan/ Never thought Kazakhstan would be the place for a new Cadillac dealership, course they also have Chevrolet's next to the Cadillac's. Very interesting, but will say very nice shiny dealership.
  25. Amazing part is the amount of buildings in japan that are still built with beams this way. labor intensive but built to last.
