Supposedly the preview of their BEV3 platform is to be shown in March. Then we have the Cadillac EV in April and the Hummer by GMC in May. So we should finally be getting some idea and images of what GM is working on for release late 2020 to early 2021.

Agreed and too true. Until the other OEMs actually have quantity of long range EVs on the lots to sell. This is just News Pipe Dream.

Love my current rides, next one will be an EV for the wife. Rivian, Lordstown, depends on what the existing OEMs have to offer. Right now, probably 2023 at the earliest in buying an EV since battery production, parts production, etc. need to ramp up before we have variety out there. I could possibly see us getting a Mach e GT AWD.

Interesting news, seems the Germans are about to have a major upheaval in the auto industry assembly work as of the 830,000 jobs, they said the conversion to global EV auto's which require much less assembly line jobs will affect the stable middle income career path that many have enjoyed for years. At least 10% reduction in jobs is expected over the next 10 years and then even heavier job cuts after that. Seems Green Car Reports is stating that GM plans to reveal the first Cadillac Electric vehicle this April. We get to see the Hummer by GMC EV Truck in May. We will get more information in March about their new BEV3 platform. Autoblog caught mostly uncovered the new Mercedes-Benz EQA and EQB EV CUVs. https://www.autoblog.com/2020/02/20/mb-eqa-eqb-spy-photos/#slide-2210768 MB seems to be following their same Blah jelly bean styling of these auto's, should blend in with the ICE side of the family. The Story also states that the EQC on sale in North America will not happen now till some time in early 2021 at the earliest. It is believed to be due to the construction of a Battery assembly line in the US holding up the EQC from going on sale here. Cost of shipping an EQC here is much higher for some reason, could be due to the weight.

Seems Mercedes Benz is hurting more than people have been led to believe. Their struggling Van division will be led by the CEO as he has shown the door to the leadership team as Diamler looks for ways to turn around their van sales around the world. Daimler CFO will take over the MB CFO position while retaining the Daimler CFO position to review and improve their financial standings. All Projects will be reviewed as MB moves to become a Leading EV auto company. As such, there is a good chance that power trains, trim lines, models etc. could be retired / cut to stream line the company to optimize profits. Is this the beginning of a reduction in model types, model variations? Could Be.
