  1. All valid points and I would for one use a fire retardant foam in the walls to help seal and tighten things up. Yet it is still an interesting way to build a shed to a home as they do have home plans. I will say that the one thing that beats this is how the Japanese does this tongue and groove building for long life, being hundreds of years and amazing strength. This guys channel shows all these ways to build strong amazing jointed wood projects. https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCRGV5YMWtS0RR-SfJ2XU-8A Who knew wood porn could be so amazing to watch! Great guide on the tools. https://www.popularwoodworking.com/japanese-joinery-pdf/
  2. Makes a nice out of college starter vehicle.
  3. What about in regards to your doodles? ?
  4. For the year DOWN -4% One month does not make the year. Lincoln is UP 1.3% for the Year Cadillac DOWN .3% for the Year Porsche UP 5.3% for the Year BMW DOWN 1.7% for the Year I could go on, but MB is doing worse than many others. They did great years before, but clearly they need some major changes and style updates.
  5. Should be interesting to see the style and I wonder since they have also said they would be doing ice/hybrid/ev, what the powertrain lineup will be.
  6. Really, you need to wash those Rose colored glasses. Excluding the few high percentage auto's, the bulk of their product line is dead or heavy down especially year to date. If this was your favorite hate company GM, you would be ripping them apart about the negative models. Plus lets look at the whole company, it is only really up 19.5% for the month as vans and smart are dragging MB down.
  7. Always liked Jag's style, glad to see they are selling well and hopefully quality will continue to go up and get stronger.
  8. With only 35K sold so far on track to sell 70K this year, it does make one wonder how a dealership stays open with so few sales. Gotta be expensive service.
  9. ? Wonder what he is thinking, EXCITEMENT!
  10. @A Horse With No Name and any other person who loves wood work. Build a home with zero nails or screws. 100% wood home built like Lego bricks. https://www.brikawood-ecologie.fr/home/ I believe this is called dove tail wood connections. Please correct as I am not 100% sure on the connection type.
  11. Saw this beauty on the last day of July. Was beautiful!
  12. That be allot of blood running there.
  13. Pretty soon we will be back to the Ford Mantra, you can have the auto in any color as long as it is black. Want another color, fine, these approved 3rd party vendors will sell you any color you want for a special charge! ?
  14. Very cool, New York City is hosting a Formula E race that will.cover 5 boroughs being a true race on the island in NY city. https://timeline.line.me/post/_dY_VdC8kWX7nkSKpC-_KuFydz2LKulPg9fKof1U/1156466506206066079
  15. I hear ya all, paddle shifters and automatics are no more challenging to each other and manual is still even more challenging than that, got it.
  16. Plop Plop Fizz Fizz, Oh what a relief it is! Alka Seltzer
  17. Having driven in Japan, it is really not that hard to drive a left or right-hand auto.
  18. I get what you all say and yes 2 feet, 3 pedals will always challenge humans. Yet there is more to driving than just that and paddle driving brings in a different way of driving is all I am saying and still shifting up and down while driving will always offer challenges along with so many other inputs.
  19. Agree to disagree, you should try racing someone and see how you drive it and hit redline shifting up and down. Driving takes skill period and to drive a manual or paddle shifting to optimize power, torque and turn in a consistent time, does take skill.
  20. We have no idea of what cars they will have in the EV role out. Very possible for the Malibu to come out as an EV.
  21. Based on the GM released info, you can get this in the LT as a $3,890 upgrade. So basic LT is $28,300 according to their web site. 28,300 + $3,890 = $32,190 plus delivery and applicable taxes. Not too shabby for a 33 mpg diesel truck.
  22. Agree, BMW wanted to be more Benze than Benze. Now they are all messed up both MB, BMW and Audi.
  23. Will PA take back over the road then after the company bankrupts?
  24. @Robert Hall @surreal1272 I honestly would NOT say it is cheaper to do a Manual transmission any longer, but that form of transmission is so inefficient and the lack of interest by the bulk of society to drive a manual with the advent of paddle shifters thanks to F1 driving has moved society to want something that is even faster. I rarely have seen manuals at the drag strip here in washington any more, usually more of an older sports car on open day when folks can drag their auto against anyone. There is also real talent needed if you were to drive a paddle shift corvette just like a manual. I think many who feel you have to have a manual transmission just have not had a chance to really learn to drive paddle shift auto's. I relate this to those that felt putting a manual on the floor was a terrible idea compared to the 3 on the tree design that I first learned to drive on. The more technology changes, the better things get, clinging to the past is how one dies early in the business world. I honestly doubt other than a few I can count on one hand that the bulk of folks here at C&G would want to drive a modern day auto with 3 on the tree or a 4 speed manual especially if you live in a city of hills like San Francisco.
  25. Never did understand the business case for a privatized road. It goes against what America is about, the culture and the freedom to drive anywhere.
