  1. 1960's ford mustang grill logo was the closest thing I believe ford came to a 3D logo.
  2. Acura and Honda have joined the NACS camp for North America now. Probably GM had something to do with this.
  3. Have to say I see the trucks and SUVs every day now around here where I live and with a new showroom opening up near me, will have to go check it out and see how I fit in the Rivian truck and SUV. Here's Why Rivian Might Be The 'Jeep' Of The EV World (topspeed.com) Hopefully @Drew Dowdell can get one of these as a press demo for the week and write up a review.
  4. @oldshurst442 My wife at our 10th wedding Anniversary bought me a Bulova watch. I have it, never wear it as I grew up working in my dad's auto shop and you never wear jewelry, watches, etc. I like the watch very much and will never part with it till I am cremated, but I doubt I will ever wear it as it just feels weird wearing it. Same with my wedding ring, after the first year, I have never worn it again. Course still married and going strong 33 years so far. Interesting how things have changed over time.
  5. I do love that exterior color too! ?
  6. Agree that would be a great resource. NACS the North American New Charging Standard? - Automotive Industry - Cheers & Gears (cheersandgears.com) Rivian Latest to Join the NACS Camp - Rivian - Cheers & Gears (cheersandgears.com) Electrify America Adding NACS Connectors - Automotive Industry - Cheers & Gears (cheersandgears.com) Tesla Supercharger Network of North America Now a Benz Charging Option - Mercedes Benz - Cheers & Gears (cheersandgears.com) We do have a pretty good start with all the info in the links above.
  7. Right now Tesla and GM seem to be the only ones that are offering home charging management, but others are talking about it too, so might be good to have a list of those companies offering home power management and if it allows V2H.
  8. For me the 442 will always be a favorite. I also have a soft spot for for Delta 88 & 98 custom cruisers.
  9. Been Busy helping my son who bought a fixer upper house to move his growing family into. The best I have been able to do is run both the Escalade and SS through a new Touchfree auto wash system near my house and it did an outstanding job. $18 gets you an under-carriage wash, Power wash rims and then a multi-stage wash with two different soap soaks and then a tri-color wax, rainX application and one other thing I forget, but I felt for the money it was worth it as both autos are shinny and clean.
  10. Thank you Drew.
  11. Discussions about the EV dedicated show rooms such as Tesla, Rivian, and more. My Local Ford Lincoln dealership was always in one place with Lincoln no more than a foot note compared to the Ford Auto's. Lately Harrison Ford Lincoln has started construction on a dedicated EV Lincoln Show room. Will have to grab some pictures and post them. Excited to check it out. Lynnwood Porche is a new dealership and I see they were installing the Chargers front and center to the dealership this week. Will have to also grab some pictures and post them. Excited to check out the New Rivian dealership that is opening soon by me so I can actually test my large size body in one.
  12. Interesting to read the story on his death and it seems strange when you read about it, I think there was more to his death than anyone will every know. John Denver's Death And The Story Of His Tragic Plane Crash (allthatsinteresting.com)
  13. Awesome to see more are adopting this to take away another excuse by the EV haters that you cannot charge an EV. This is also good news to see additional vendors get approval to built the NACS ports and cables. Tesla issues license to Volex to build NACS connector | Electrek
  14. According to those that were able to interview the executives at the NY reveal, they are estimating the Escalade IQ to be about 8,500 curbweight. 2025 Cadillac Escalade IQ: First Look at the Electric Escalade! (motortrend.com)
  15. Crazy how various publications think there is something up with GM due to delays in production of EVs. Overall, I think GM is taking a proper cautious approach to introducing new EVs and getting it right from the start. General Motors Outlines Ultium-Based BEV Rollout Plan For H2 2023 (insideevs.com)
  16. Happy Birthday @NINETY EIGHT REGENCY Weird part is that the router I never think about till it starts acting up. Usually, I have them replaced every 5 years, but this one went 7 years. WOW. Ultium Cells Response to US Senator Br... | Ultium Cells LLC Very interesting read, totally get GM here.
  17. Interesting read. Ultium Cells Response to US Senator Br... | Ultium Cells LLC
  18. Ziply, formerly Frontier was here to replace my 7 year old router and wow, big improvement in WiFi and speed.
  19. Cool info on the V4 Tesla Superchargers that are starting to get deployed in Europe First. Tesla V4 Superchargers: Power, Design and Cable Length Revealed (notateslaapp.com) Cable length has gone from 2 meters (6 1/2 ft) to 3 meters (9 1/2 ft). Chargers are rated at 1000VDC, 615 A, Operating temp -30C to +50C
  20. Love the looks especially in Black Cherry, interior is a home run hit for me. Failure is the rear end and the taillights. WTF Cadillac, you should have kept the current Escalade taillights.
  21. Got my first Amazon delivery from the Rivian van. Love how quiet they are. But wow, very big.
  22. Seems Fisker is bringing a Pickup to Market, Alaska is the name of the truck and it has a mid gate just like the Chevrolet Sierra truck. They also released the whole product line through 2026. Microsoft Word - Fisker Product Vision Day Press Release FINAL (ctfassets.net) Fisker Alaska | Advanced. Versatile. Powerful. (fiskerinc.com)
  23. And people at these charities wonder why younger generations do not give as much. Debt due to education and other expenses and the hounding of the Charities constantly asking for more money.
  24. Getting closer to the reveal of the Escalade IQ.
  25. They actually nailed it on the head for the 5 things the Ultium BOLT needs. Chevy's Ultium Bolt will need these 5 things to be successful | Electrek Fast NACS Charging - Ability to have up to 350kW charging speed, but at least half of the battery can handle 150kW charging allowing for fast 20 min charge ups. RWD/AWD powertrain option. Reminded that GM showed off in 2020 Battery day a 50HP electric motor that could be used in an AWD compact size EV to allow for traction and stability in foul weather. Keep the HOT Hatch Proud, Bolt is a Hatch, Bolt EUV became an SUV, not everyone wants a SUV. Improve the good of the BOLT, do not remove them to make it cheaper. Dealer Improvements - The first I do not think is needed by making an EV division of sales seperate from ICE sales. Train them to be knowledgable on both. The second I do totally agree with, all Chevy Dealers should have DC Fast chargers required, none of this Level 1 and or 2 charging BS. They point out that Ford has made it mandatory for all EV dealers to have DC fast chargers on the lots, no level 1 or 2 chargers.
