  1. I'll be converting the 1985 Ford Econoline with 115,000 original miles into the nicest tour van that I can manage. The van was purchased on a budget and it will be doing three rounds of the United States over the course of the next two years. The modifications we're talking are mostly going to be to the interior, some electronics, etc. I'll be tossing in all Kenwood speakers, a new CD player with an AUX jack, a loft bunk with gear storage underneath, I'll be pulling out the bench seat in the back, installing a 1600w AC power inverter straight off the front battery. Should be a pretty great steed when all is said and done. I'll keep you all updated on it!
  2. Yikes Balthazar! that doesn't look like something that Vinyl is going to take care of in the long term. But on the short term for appearances just get yourself twice the vinyl you need after you've measured the outside square footage of the vehicle. Chances are that as it's being cut you're going to lose 60% of your usable flat surface area.
  3. Really gorgeous Chevy Caprice Classic in blue. With a little work in these puppies they become absolutely incredible show cars.
  4. oh my...I do have the biggest soft spot for these old classic americans. And a diesel no less. Genuinely cannot believe that this beauty didn't sell on the first auction. At 61,000 and in this good of shape? I'd drop ten on it without batting an eyelash if I had the expendable income. They don't build em like they used to. Guess I'll go for a spin in my souped up 85 Caprice to take the edge off not having this kind of money.
  5. holy cow! that is a gorgeous ride! I wouldn't loose too much sleep over the BOSE system. Despite their being really solid quality stereos, the only way you're ever going to notice a side-by-side difference in a BOSE system vs. any stock system is if you're running a sub, blasting at above 6 volume, or listening to a ridiculously high quality .WAV file. Chances are pretty good that mp3 through a bose and mp3 through a stock will prove to be a similar listening experience.
