Yep. Still will need to be the best for both worlds. For extreme weather, towing, and off road activity ICE is still king. But for local commuting or long trips to work or play, EV can be a changer there. One simple charge to get all of your shopping done. I still plan to own both..... ?

I kinda go a big both ways here. I do believe that the earth goes in cycles (Hot, cold, etc) and that it is going to change regardless of what we do. But, I also feel we can speed up that change by adding more Co2 and other chemicals to the air/earth/sea.... And we need to find better ways to power these things for the future as well. Can’t simply use nuclear and coal forever. We need to make solar, wind and even sea powered ways to get energy for our car and home. I might be the minority, but I believe that both EV and ICE powered cars can live in harmony, and that both can be around......

The man makes some good points. ? Adding thoughts: 1) I think cost is going to be big- but I also wonder if the batteries will be able to be repaired by cell, or if the whole thing gets tossed like a Duracell. I can also add the cost to charge it up.... 2) Time is still an issue, but like phones, I think they will be able to charge them faster. And, like gas powered cars, they would not need to be fully charged- enough to get home to finish it up. Still requires planning though! 3) For all the talk about Tesla, their cars remind me of cheap Chinese cars you see crash tested. I have yet to know a person who has a Tesla that has not has not had some sort of issue with it. And most of it from being cheap. I used to work for a supplier that fed parts to Tesla, and they were famous for cutting corners....... 4) Agreed!

I did, hope you did as well. ? Yeah, and when I cross into Ohio (either on 75 or 23) the roads become much, much better. Bunch of construction though! I had to get each one of the tires on my Cobalt repaired last winter....that was pretty nuts! Seems Michigan as no defense at all this year. Can’t stop it in the air or the run. Same issue as the Lions it seems. I get the feeling it will get worse. Also found that our QB is playing hurt....but still.....

That gray or green in a GC works for me....

Hmm.....a couple ideas for adding light to my Cavalier.... ? Though the tail light one is cool.... And as much as I hear of “All EV” future, it is not going to happen. It would take 20 years, maybe more to junk even half the ICE cars out there. And there are still things a EV can’t so yet, like Survive extreme temps.... I see maybe a 60/40 tops in the ICE/EV amounts. It’s going to take a while before prices will be down enough for the general public tp buy, or simply build a used EV market.

Always had steeliness on my cars it seems... I can live with them with the right type of tire.... Back to some more work on the house...might be a buy winter! In case I don’t post much this weekend, have a safe and great Thanksgiving!!

Bummed a bit as my water heater decided to take a dump ( of water). Was lucky enough to get someone to put a new on in Tuesday, so no warm water for a few days. Worried that the basement would be real bad, but it looks like I’ll just lose one panel of drywall to mold, as so far everything else is drying out nicely as we got the water up fast....still going to be quite some money though... Having a very small get together with my family, parents, and brother. To be safe, have air cleaners running, and masks can be worn if they want. I am around these folks regularly, so there is low risk. But with all the crazy, plan to be as careful as possible since I fall into that high risk category. Avoiding shopping this weekend anyways, as I work most of it anyways.......

Something I have not seen before...though I saw a late 90s Cavalier towing a small camper last week.....

I think that is hands down the best wording for GM right now! ? Sometimes I feel like the old culture just really never dies. The last time GM did any decent marketing was putting their cars in the Transformers movies.... It’s like GM wants to shout themselves in the foot....

I think it is just bad it general! David is not that far off....granted - this is going to damage EV development as well. People who can barely afford regular cars are really going to struggle trying to change over to EV type stuff. The longer our government sits and fights over stuff, the more damage that happens to the economy. I have friends at both GM, Ford, TRW, and even Rocket Loans waiting for a pink slip...... Spending is going to end....very soon......

Shocking! ?

Yeah, it seems like less choices too. I was told starting this year we will see much less of the lower trim levels than before. I was more than happy with what my Equinox LS has, plus it has a nice buyout option at the end of the lease. (Thanks to Covid I will up up taking) My local GM dealership only has 1 LS trimmed Equinox, as that is pretty much all the choice they had to order. And this seems to be holding true with order models as well. Sucks, as i like having different from everybody else. ?

Well, they do have Yugo and Ford Tempo clubs ? While I can question taste, any love for cars at this point is a good thing........

Proud little moment. My neighbor somehow found a 1986 Escort wagon for a winter beater . Car is in great shape, with 118k on it. And rust free. His son is almost 15, and likes cars like his Dad (who is in to Camaros, has an 80s Iroc Z in the garage) So while talking to him and his son, the kid decided he would really like it for his “classic” car. Told his dad about the radwood scene- now the little Escort sits nexts to the Chevy in the garage. ? And the winter beater is now a 17 year old civic....... People might laugh that is just and Escort, but it will bring us another person with a love for cars......
