oh, and it's abotu time these arogant bastards get their comeuppance. couldn't happen to a nicer bunch.

geez, the AOD in my workbeater 91 grand marquis has 230k on it, with nothing more than a fluid change (thats right, just ONE fluid change in 16 yrs) and it's still shifting fine. all i can say about toyota's trans issues is....... FREAKING AWESOME!!!!!

my trusty grand marquis is seeping a little bit of oil from the front crank seal, and the only interior rattle is from the driver's door when the window is open. did i mention it is a 91 and has 230k on it? and the drivetrain is original. the 89 deville i had several years back was totally rattle-free at 100k, and did not leak a drop of anything. so much for rising sun superiority.

yea, that cracked me up. but since all their staffers loved it for long drives they forgave the lemon. let's see them do that with a gm or ford car. yea, right. also, i read an article yesterday about a nyc ford/lexus store that was getting rid of its ford franchise due to slow ford sales. they were saying how their lexus service dept was so busy that they had to put in a second shift. gee, where is the japanese quality at lexus???

saw a pic of that heap in our local paper today........ ya wanna bet these shi-tzuboxes don't get past their warranty period?

personally, i could not care less about crash ratings. if, instead of making cars more chrashworthy we made DRIVERS less crashworthy, maybe this would not even be an issue. but no, that would politically incorrect, because people can NEVER be responsible for their actions, for that would not make the lawyers any money.

as anyone considered that the titan doesn't sell because it's so freaking UGLY?!?!? i mean damn, the thing looks like it's father was 'jaws' from the late 70's james bond movies. and no long bed option or regular cab option? just plain stupid.

that's the operative word here, YET. look at toyota's sludge issues and the stalling concerns with the pious ( er, prius hee hee hee), it's only a matter of time. i believe toyota is beginning to get a little cocky like gm once was. and that will be what brings them down.

uhhhh, excuse me but the ridgeline IS fwd in is base form. it is based on the same platform as the pilot. fwd or optional awd. and it has no frame, it is a unibody vehicle. i would hazard to guess it will not hold up a whole lot better than the old rampage or rabbit pickup.
