  1. Even thinking about this, or this lady, is enough to get one seriously depressed. What has the world come to?

  4. Yeah, great word. Our friend ocn is more articulate than he lets on...
  5. Read preceding post. I, too, like traveling around in a luxo-boat when I'm on vacation. I'm still waiting for the day they (1) make a mistake, or (2) run out of cars and are forced to upgrade me several notches...to a DTS!
  6. To hide the luggage. There are way too many rental vehicles that don't allow for completely hiding belongings that it perplexes me. And for those cars that are SUPPOSED to have the cover or retractable vinyl pull, most of the time it ISN'T there. So I have to go back to the counter to get a passenger car.

  12. Paul, when the market comes back and Buick can ascertain that a coupe would be well-received, I also think a drop-dead beautiful Riviera coupe should be offered. Until then, we can only dream...

  16. I goofed here. I was considering "hydrogen," or any non fossil fuel, to be NEW TECH.

  18. Hey, we've seen gas prices go down and now they're going up. The seesaw has become exhausting and I welcome the day that some other non-fossil fuel type of engine is the norm. (I was happy to snag one of the last new 3800 V6s in the LaX and hope to drive it for a dozen or so years, knock on wood). I like driving around for the hell of it, especially where it's scenic. So how long do you think it will take before you wander onto the new car lot and AT LEAST 50% of the cars on sale are NOT powered by a traditional internal combustion engine? Feel free to comment as well.
  19. LOL. It seemed that Sharon/Fairview closer to downtown was grander mansions and "older" money whereas Sharon/Fairview further from downtown, toward the belt freeeway, was newer mansions and/or homes that got a little smaller, so, therefore "newer" money. I enjoy seeing how cities are layed out and surveying the housing.

  25. I try to do this as well, but keep it brief because of the insurance / "line of demarcation" that's posted. I always let the service advisor, and possibly the tech, know that I am conversant in car matters. It has helped a lot!
