Damn Asians (automakers) couldn't come up with an original idea to save their lives. All they know how to do is copy from everyone else. It must give them an incredible sense of pride knowing they can't do anything on their own power.

I hope Dodge takes them to task on that.

The Koreans are banishing all their ugly cars.  All of the vehicles in this thread look good, in particular the Kia minivan.  As for the black plastic on the Kia Rio, sometimes I wonder whether automakers intentionally make their cheapest vehicle slightly ugly so as not to detract from their other more upmarket vehicles.  If nothing else, it gives the potential for an all body-color mid-cycle update in a couple of years.

that's exactly why they do it. so they can single out drivers in traffic 'who bought the cheap ones'

at day care this morning, another mom i know said that when they bought their bravada, gas was 1.08 a gallon, they could afford the 15mpg. But now, its getting spendy for them. I think the low prices years ago set us all up for this.

I did like Marty for awhile, and he's got THE LOOK, but he's kind of a BIG DULL DUD. Brandon was strange. JD is Canadian, so that's just wrong. Plus, he butchered suspicious minds. Only Elvis and Dwight Yoakam can do that song. Ty belted out a couple of INXS songs just perfect, but, what else does he bring? Obviously, none of the skanks, er, chicks can win this. Suzie did great tonight, but lacks star appeal. Exception to skank status, Jordis (from nearby me!) is an awesome singer, but usually picks bad songs and her image does not find the band anyways. She will do better in a solo career.

What is the deal with Dave Navarro and his Prince retro look? He so cool, all the time! almost, not. He needs to get snippy, like SIMON.

well, whether its your sister or not, its all too easy to see on a wintery day around here, someone in their RWD only truck or Camaro or Mustang or beater caprice, struggling like HELL to get a start off a 2% incline at a stoplight and 10-20 mad as hell drivers behind them saying 'get a front wheel drive car you ****!!!' because they can't get through the stoplight before it turns red due to that person in the truck not getting further than about 40 feet before the damn thing turns red.

I spotted a Smart on the interstate highway here today. I was taken aback. MY GOSH ITS TINY! It must have came down here to MN from Canada, I'm guessing. It looked pretty cool, but I sure it never tangoes with an Excusrion or Suburban!

I'm still having a hard time promoting GM to people around me. Well, American cars in general.

And my friend is trying to get me off an American car.

crusing lots today I saw the new 06 Grand Vitara. VERY NICE. Nice interior. Exterior is a nice chiseled shape. Whole vehicle seems well made. Cabin seems spacious, very sporty looking. Yes, that's the new GM 3 spoke steering wheel. Seat cloth seems nice. In fact, its the nicest Suzuki interior I've seen and the whole Grand Vitara makes the Equinox and Vue seem like regurgitated puke in terms of looks and quality appearance. A lot sportier looking than an Escape. Engine is a 2.7l v6...not sure what that's from. Pricing was good and warranty is always good with Suzuki. I know this should go with worldwide marques boards, but i thought it would get more comments here. The price was like 22 grand, and i think that was with AWD. Honestly, I might have to take one out. I predict success for this new Suzuki.

i would sell my testicles for that coupe. i would so love one in ecotec turbo form, which is COMING! in 07 model year.

just read the car connection review. pleasing, not gushing, but i sense they give the car some cred.

My sister's vehicle is a '97 S-10 ... RWD, btw ... and manual transmission.  It's her daily driver.  And, yes, she has driven it the last 7 years ... all year round ... in snow.  No problems.
