  1. GREAT CARS Take Time. This car will NOT Disappoint.
  2. The end of the Monte Carlo Production is some time this month. Can get the build out day if that is what you are looking for. When the last Lumina was made in Oshawa it was white, when this car rolled off the flat top the employes were aloud to sighn their name to the car with a black marker. I do believe the car is still around.Worked on some Monte Carlos tonight. The Grand Prix production will stop no latter then Nov 30th. The Current Impala and the two Buicks will be buit on the same production line starting in Jan 08. Three production shifts. What i did find out today . When the Flex plant ramps up to two shifts the midnight shift workers will be moved over to the Flex plant. This shift of workers to the Flex plant will be needed when a new product joins the Camaro. The long range plan is to have the Flex plant on three shifts and the other plant just working one shift. Saturday production Overtime is May 26th, June 2nd.
  3. The current Impala and one shift in the new Flex plant would work all at the same time. The Impala plant will produce cars on three shifts like it presenty does with the Buick and Pontiac beeing produced on the same line for the first time.
  4. Facts that are certain for the Oshawa Flex Plant. The last Impala Produced in Plant # 1 will be Nov 30th 07. Start up production in Plant # 2 will be in Jan 08 for Impalas, Pontiac, Buicks ,No Monte Carlo. Workers that will be working in the new Flex Plant will return after a nine to ten month lay off. These returing workers to the Flex Production Product (Camaro) will be working the one and only shift, which will be strait days for one full year. During this one year period the introduction of the ragtop( Camaro) and another product will be intoduced. All body stamping for the cars that are produced in Oshawa is done within the Complex. In My Opionion the stamping and paint shop can not reach the demand for all this product . Production of the Impala, Buick and Grand Prix will still go on with three shifts DURING the construction of the Flex Plant.
  5. I work in the Oshawa Plant that will be getting the Camaro. We have not been told what other car products we are to get. We have had some Top GM Personal Tour the plant, meet with the Union before leaving for the day. There ownly comment was that they were impressed with the Oshawa Plant. The Union tried there best to get other product added to the Camaro line up during there visit . NOTHING WAS CONFIMED.....
  6. Building " w " and the new Zetas at the same time in Oshawa...A Temporary construction wall will be put up in the chassis area between these two plants. Plant #2 will be buiiding the Impala and Buicks After Nov 30th.The Camaro start up will a very SLOW process. The Camaro will start up with a strait day shift ONLY for about six mounths. The NEW paint shop presently supplys both plants. To Be HONEST I'am not certain if the body shop and hardware areas can do both at the same time.
  7. YOU are one Smart Man " Moltar" These cars were mentioned to us as future Oshawa products in our Jan. GMS team meeting. NOTHING is on paper. Just talked about! With the current Impala sales staying Surprisly STRONG there could be an overlap in build RWD and FWD Impala. Could the RWD car have it's name changed to the Caprice ???????? IF things stay on track One new vehicle will be introduced every six Months. The Impala firts.
  8. Don't be surprised to see the RWD Impala , Buick, Cadillac and the G8 to join the lineup of the Home of the Camaro at the Oshawa Flex Plant.
  9. I have looked at this NEW Truck and it does not have any earth shattering looks!
