  1. well this thread may be hijacked but i think for the better sorry i am "wacked" and "can not register what we are talking about." i am a 17 yr old kid that has never had the oppurtunity to do anything but plug a car in and change oil and air filters . . . im sorry that your years of life beyond mine have caused you to gather more information and intelligence. in the future ill try to admit freely that i am "wacked" and too stupid to register what your saying i do however i beleive understand that i do not know enough about the modern or otherwise automatic or otherwise transmission to try to explain anything or try to show knowledge which is why i ask questions . . . sorry my questions seem dumb to you but i cannot know and understand what has never been fully explained to me and im sorry if i dont think its very becoming at your age to insult the intelligence of a kid who asks you a question razor . . . or for that matter to insult the intelligence of a child at all for you and the select few who make a habit out of it and thank you hudson for trying to explain however breifly
  2. so that means it essentially shifts into the gear twice right? how was i wrong about that?
  3. hah make sure your antivirus and anti spyware are up to date and find a good technician . . . it sounds like your not that comp savvy . . . it can be a pain finding a spyware program in all that space
  4. just frequenting this site probably does make you a bit ahead of the dealers . . . in response to the first post . . . i did have the time to read the rest tonite i can go and tell all the guys at my dealership about the new arrivals theyll hear about in a certain amount of time and they sit and stare like its story time every time i go in now lol
  5. you can only restore if you have a dell otherwise its different for PC youd have to save all your documents and reload your computer from scratch and then check thru the documents for any files or any wierd sizes if a picture looks like its small when you open it and it looks like its taking too much room up on your disc it may be corrupt . . . in the meantime keep a strict log of all the processes . . . sometimes spyware will try to but ill end the program when my computer is running a bit slow i notice . . . then ill go thru my antivirus and if that fixes it no prob . . . sometimes i have to look at the entire ghost image of the computer never used a mac i dunno how those work but im pretty sure your not on a mac right?
  6. and really losing traction in any car shouldnt happen unless there was some lapse in judgement or intelligence so yes "you" are stupid if this happens
  7. i dunno what kinda but wasnt camino selling an ole jag?
  8. ? correct any wrongs that youve seen please misinformation is useless and harmful and Frank if your asking my point? to correct wrong information that ive seen about the safety of RWD or FWD in low traction situations
  9. traction lost does not mean your still putting yoru foot to the gas if your on ice and you lost traction you keep the lost traction have you ever tried to regain traction on ice? its near impossible regardless of drive it takes some effort
  10. still true . . . the fact that losing traction with the front wheels in the two drive types still results in the same thing . . . if you lost front traction in RWD your blind . . . if you lost front traction in a FWD your able to point the wheels where your headed and recover much faster if you lost rear traction in a RWD you lose your drive wheels and you fishtail and lose control . . . rear traction in a FWD lost means your back end is just sliding and you still have drive and control . . . the back may come out around turns but again a quick jerk of the wheel will correct all wheel traction lost in a RWD you spin wildly and countersteer hoping your drive wheels will catch . . . because simply getting front wheel traction your back end is still moving free all wheels traction lost in a fwd you spin widly countersteer and as long as one set of wheels catches . . . you have some control and the rest of the wheels follow quickly ive tested all of these and so have your insurance companies . . . . fact regardless of ease of loss of traction

yah well the 3.3 is pretty much the same torque as a 3.8 or 3.9 but with the refinement and mileage or a 3.0 mitsu engine and then some . . . the mustang is still baffled i did beat a mustang GT but i dont think he knew how to drive it in the least his shifts were off andi could almost hear grinding
  12. actually with an automatic transmission i beleive there is an overdrive gear for every gear so that it shifts into that gear twice pretty much giving BV an almost 8 spd transmission ihave a 6 spd with overdrive and it can down/up shift to no end i still havent hit the top and ill just keep shifting and shifting at high speeds and FWD is better in low traction situations thats not opinion its fact . . . RWD has less traction because the weight of the engine is in the front not over the drive wheels and you simply lose traction with all wheels with the FWD you can steer and also since you have the weight of the engine over the drive wheels and you also have the drive wheels pointing whichever way you want . . . if you lose traction in a RWD car in the front wheels you spin . . . and you have a hard time recovering . . . its very easy to recover from a FWD spin
  13. the taurus's were screaming metal death buckets . . . slow and twisted . . . those camrys were well made and the 4 cylinder is a great engine . . . i van beat a V8 mustang no problem in my sisters V6 camry (with overdrive for each gear) im not suprised but ive never been beaten

hah no i mean the swap is impossible you cant stick that engine in that car it doesnt match up in any way . . . the only way to do it it is to replace the entire front end and transaxle and make custom mounting for the entire front end . . . costing wayyy more than its worth and that was a 3.0 turbo minivan . . . ive seen the video and ive also beaten plenty of V6 camaros and mustangs and a few V8 mustangs as well . . . im a good driver and i know how to shift in an auto . . .

  17. when a red minivan blows its doors off . . . should i let them all know my engines the same as theirs? naaaa i just got my van back today and it has a brand new engine . . . the old 3.3L died it was a blown cylinder . . . now its got a few more litres and a bit more power . . . the and a crown vic intercepter is now missing an engine EDit: i have trouble keeping traction . . . and my car rolls to 20 from an idle . . . i think i like this new engine
  18. i love that car and great job of choosing the car . . . that 3.6 VVT to me could be heaven and damned if i dont want one
  19. its funny you say this cuz ive been in that car . . . but it also had 1000 lbs of sound equipment in it as well . . . 23.5 speakers lol and we were going 115 too . . . i think the cop who pulled us over was soo impressed they had to let us go with a stern laughing and its funny you guys should compare a ford to a mazda?!?! cmon?!?!!? and my MINIVAN will beat all of your cars if you drive it well and the other driver sucks . . . youd be suprised how driver skill and manipulation counts FWD and RWD should live in Peace . . . cuz guess what? not all cars deserve RWD and some definitely deserve it
