Has anyone had experience (themselves or others you know) with a torn rotator cuff?  If it's not bone, is it cartilage, muscle, something else?  What was done for it - PT, surgery?  How did it resolve and in how much time?

    I have not.

Colors from years past...short video, cool.

Southwest announced its bag pricing.  It's $35 for the first one, and $45 for a second one, so not horrible.  Let's see if they will package up bundles.

I like using them for ATL to TPA or JAX, having been cheaper than Delta and including the bag.  They also use STL for connecting and do it all within Terminal 2, so it's an easy airport to connect in.  They have had good nonstop service between all major West Coast airports, from SAN all the way up to SEA.  I'm just waiting to see how this "new" airline unfolds.

Its being ruined by equity capital, just like everything else in the US. I like their pilots and crews, but like I said, prefer not flying on Boeing products.

I have no issues with that use-case. The adjustments absolutely were an improvement.

Zero issues with that sort of AI.

    Interesting.

  3. Pathetic how we throw away cars...

They never served out of Pittsburgh in any meaningful price effective way. Sure, they didn't charge for bags, but their prices where as high as American was with bags. Then I was also frequently an Gold status member with American and got domestic bags free anyway.

I prefer flying on Airbus, or Embraer. so I check the usual plane on the flight before I book a ticket. No Boeing flights scheduled for the rest of the year, and going several places.

If anyone intends to purchase an "old school" ticket on Southwest, meaning with 2 free bags, you can do so up through May 27.  On May 28, they will start nickel and diming for seats, bags, etc.

The curtain is falling on this airline as we knew it for so long.  I will now have less incentive to use them.

They fly Boeing products. For political and safety reasons, Boeing is dead to me. I fly Airbus every chance I get, or Embraer.

    Indeed.

I was caught in it within the last week.  A beautiful flight on a Lufthansa jumbo, defying the jet stream headwind, was going to make Newark in 7.5 hours.  Cruising at 600 mph if going west is almost amazing. However, we then circled over the Hudson River Valley for almost an hour.  Cloudy outside, too.

I will now avoid that hub and try to use IAH-Houston Bush if on United if possible.  Big Texas skies.

I have a lot of respect for ATC folks.  They have so much on their plates.

    Yes.

So easy for mistakes to be made, another great aviation video.

I flew a couple weeks ago from CLE to DIA, since I have TSA Pre and Clear it was pretty easy.  But I really don't enjoy flying very much these days.  Flying again in August..

Flying again in September, into Boston. Maybe Florida before. We need to beef up our air traffic control systems.

    On a happier note...

Unlike GM, Ford should have taken the bankruptcy and dumped a ton of debt. Ford is in trouble and I do not see them having an easy way out with all the debt and recalls.

With the Tariffs, my old angry calls for shuttering plants have been answered. Domestic automakers will not faire well.

For buying things, I don't like IKEA.  For the bright cafe', I do.

Yep, Denver and those dips in weather that go away very soon.

Cafe is good, furniture not my cup of tea.

Simple the gas prices in Washington had me from 500 to 600 a month in premium fuel. so even at $550 mid-way between the two figures, we spent $6,600 average for gas plus oil changes at Grease monkey where were $100 each so $200 for the year and then other maintenance on the SS. I would say we were right around $8,000 a year in cost to run the SS compared to less than a thousand for the EV9.

I so want to own an EV if I own another car.

How do you know they make great products? They don't sell anything here, yet. Spec sheets can be amazing and it still not be a good overall product or it could be unreliable as fck.

They are well reviewed worldwide with a great reputation.

I think unless your forced to have to buy something, most people are going to wait and see where prices and availability heads. Recession here we come.

I really would prefer to not buy a car for awhile.

    I am buying a car in 2029.

I am hoping to leave the country by then, and live in a city with great mass transit. I am hoping to own no cars in 2029.

Was wondering what the sales numbers are and I see since it came out, it has gone no where but down. Slowest selling auto for years now.

That is pretty pathetic, I honestly have not seen any here in the wild for the PNW, so I do wonder where they are selling.

WOW, just saw that they have a 428-day supply on hand. Crazy

I have seen one or two on the road in the wild....in Detroit with manufacturers plates.

He just visited Mexico and had some time looking at the products. I will, say that all my coworkers in other markets where BYD sells autos have pretty positive impressions of BYD as they go Global. I can see BYD surpassing Toyota as the world's biggest auto builder.

    Yes.

These seem so cheap to me inside, probably because they are.  They're the new Cavalier.

Less than zero interest in these, they do sort of look good, but about as exciting as a pre-owned roll of toilet paper.

Just last week, I saw a few newer Traxes.  They are more sloped in the rear than the Trailblazer and there is no protuding "ridge" over the rear window.  I'd say they are more attractive than the new Trailblazer.  I know next to nothing about them.

I want to continue to know less than nothing about them.

The engine bay is neatly arranged as it typically is in GM products, with dipsticks, reservoirs, and an easy to reach battery ... someone would have had to help me find the turbocharger

One can see 3 exhaust manifold passages below the engine shroud

The engine placard says 1.3 liters and long running OBD II diagnostics

I don't trust these tiny little engines.

As someone who lives in an area with actual bridge collapses (right around the corner from where we had lunch years ago @A Horse With No Name) I'm in favor of raising gas taxes to pay for these repairs. Luckily, no one was seriously injured in this. Many of our bridges around here have netting on their undersides to catch the chunks that fall off them. B5UF7VIZRFJURAIYSV72MEUKXY.jpg

One bridge, before it was replaced, had another bridge built under it solely to catch concrete falling and was featured on John Oliver.

Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhh...I am all in favor of taxes for infrastructure, I am saying we will be less able to invest in infrastructure because the dollar will be less of a reserve currency and it will cost us more to service our debt.

The graphic images are all from the first link and you can organize the graph by state on regular gas or click the header for Diesel and get it shown by state for that fuel type.

The second link show additional info but if you click the link in that second writing by the government, it takes you here where you clearly see the latest taxation per state.

    fueltaxes.xlsx

Taxes have to go up if we are to have functional roads, bridges are coming to end of life and need to be replaced.

Again, I link Tax increases to a weakening dollar and everything being more expensive.
