  1. The inner truck lover in me is grooving to this...love it!
  2. See my comment in Random thoughts about "rather have a Ford Raptor F150..." I am over my love affair with European cars, even though both vee dubs I owned were damn enar flawless in terms of reliability. Not inspired by the Polestar, did not mind watching this one go back. Interesting... I hope they reach this goal.
  3. Or in my case, were I to win a new Vette in a Raffle, I would trade it for a Ford Raptor. Seriously.... My Ranger can haul off your carcass when you have a heart attack...J/K....that looks fabulous.
  4. If kia and Hyundai have not buried them entirely then in everything other than trucks. Hybrids are also gaining widespread acceptance, the public mindset is changing. Once fleet users see how much they can save in fuel, the writing is on the wall for ICE. If they can build something like an H3 SUT, I am so going to paythem a visit. Like I said, was not impressed with it in the Colorado. Needlessly complex, EV can't get hre fast enough.
  5. I can't figure out how a company that can build the small block chevrolet and the excellent 3800 V6 can build these motors. I just can't. But thena gain, had three otherwise very intelligent co workers spend 2 hours trying to figure out how to get a heat only thermostat to try to run A/C, so maybe I can.
  6. As a fan of the wrangler...you say this like it is a bad thing? (Sarcasm) You are quite correct... What an idiot. I am never fake.
  7. I really hpe rivian makes it. I really do!
  8. One more for Sunday, old school American muscle never gets old.
  9. Love this Shelby, good review.
  10. And the model 3 is still better built than the crappy Mitsubishi products, the crappy Nissan products, the dated Toyota products, the bland Honda products (except for the Civic Type R which is lustworthy...)...the GM products with the crappy unreliable 3.6 V6, the marginal Ecosport which is uninspiring, damn near every vehicle built in that maintenance and reliability hellhole which is modern European cars. Let's keep things in perspective. Good, love trucks, looking forward to seeing these on the road! Three pahse motors run forever....I ahve a 1944 Whitney 177 Table saw that ahs had several million board feet of lumber run through it, came out of a west virginia lumber dimensioning plant. Original motor runs like new. 76 years in. Lots of buildings I take care of have 3 phase motors from the 40's, 50's, and 60's that ahve been running continuously for decades. How many 1960 automobiles are elft on the road in daily use?
  11. Thoughtful. They need to build a midsize truck and get it into production so they can ahve the bugs worked out when i get the Ranger paid off. I can do all kinds of things with lumber, for the woodworkers here this might be a feature rather than a fault... (sarcasm) Delorean converted into a back to the future time machine so you can get that 52 Chevy with the inline 235 and single barrel carb....brand new! Love, love love my new ranger, but found a few random bolts in it...I think I found them!
  12. https://www.iseecars.com/fastest-selling-cars-study An interesting list. Among fastest selling used SUV's, Tesla is the only domestic on the list. Escape and Trax really don't compete, domestics need to up their game here. Both seem to get huge money on the hood at the end of the model year around here, and sell for a ton less than most other midsize/small suv's. Escape and Trax lack of off road capability and charm of the Renegade also IMHO.
  13. Not all japanese cars though...you all will disagree but I find this Lexus kind of hot. Nor are all domestic cars that inspring...love my ranger, love Ford Super duty trucks, the f150 is good, an American best seller...but the ecosport....sells slowly...Ford should discontinue IMHO.
  14. So much for the myth of Japanese superiority and invicibility... Actually a really thoughtful video. Tundra does not always rate well with people who review cars. And they have a point. Carl, the guy who does our exterminating work at the Unviersity I work for, had a Silverado...looked at a Tundra...found it to be really dated and unlikeable. Wound up with a RAM and loves it. https://cars.usnews.com/cars-trucks/toyota/tundra Tundra rated #6, which is not inaccurate.
  15. Yeah, and I remember walking onto a used car lot in the eqarly 80's with 4 legit judges for sale....times change... Diesel trucks still sell for stupid numbers. Would love to ahve bought one when i bought the Ranger, jsut wasn't in the cards. They are just prepping the cars for the inevitable conversion to 24 or 28 inch rims and groovy metallic paint... This is really sad, my son lives in Tacoma....all kinds of horror stories. Stay safe! Love that you still own the SS...
  16. Very sad... https://www.autobidmaster.com/en/carfinder-online-auto-auctions/lot/46395660/COPART_1970_PONTIAC_GTO_BILL_OF_SALEPART_ONLYNO_TITL_LEXINGTON_WEST_KY/ Kentucky non Rebuildable title I think so the end of this cars life...
  17. That is one of my favorite songs, actually. I love War....or a least the band named War. And better that for that Impala that being put into pick and pull.
  18. I like the idea, however it requires that I run premium gas if I upgrade. But that was an actual aprt of my decision to buy my truck. Thanks! Being RWD and the lighter cab configuration, it would really fly with this. Chris Another cool Ford Truck.... This young lady is rather talented, love her stuff.
  19. My favorite car, with good battery technology. Still love the original Mustang Fastback.
  20. While we don't always agree, you are not far off of the mark here. Hard pass from the Horse.
  21. Denver has been high for a loong time and not just geographically. The Song "Rocky Mountain High" might have had something to do with the weed grown in those mountains... But in all seriousness, yes to Denver.
  22. There is good journalism, but it is not common.
  23. Strangly enough all 150 configurations look better than all modern BMW configurations. Just like all dolphins are smarter than all Goldfish....and the difference is that stark, seriously. I do like the vintage BMW's, including the E30 M3 that were posted up earlier in the thread. When I was looking at sedans instead of trucks, the 1.5 wrote the Malibu off early in the process. Still more sleek and Sexy than the current BMW SUV's. In either case, it's drink until she looks good. All I can say is Tequila! One of my favorite singers, her father makes a Cameo in this....
  24. Ifr they can do a Colorado replacement/competitor, or something like the H3 SUT I am all in like stink on Horse crap. Getting my house paid off in a few more years, Horse wants another truck. This is fantastic. Some of what I like in Ford Super Duty front ends in this truck....a midsize version would look fantastic in my driveway next to my Ranger. Definite upvote. I do think Ford is actually doing a damn nice job also. But yes, RAM is making a fantastic product. Shoot me but I like the Rvian. Dislike the Lordstown. I think electric trucks will pull in a different class of buyer. Agree that I don't think you will see many in Wyoming...but in Suburban neighborhoods, hell yes. Give it time, things will become their usual (SH@t) show around here....just read any of the 11,397 threads from the last 12 years....they all read strangely the same.
  25. We used to look for them in salvage yards back in the vintage Mustang days, as they came with a 9 inch rear end....just begging for lower rear gears and a posi unit. Several of the versailles had factory positraction as I recall. Pontiacs were at least attractive, BMW's currend models are hideous.
