  1. https://www.q13fox.com/news/4-fires-intentionally-set-in-renton-overnight The Wetlands Conservation thing is where my son works, kind of wild.
  2. Except that if I gain more gut, it will make it harder to work with my hand tools, hike, have sex, ride a motorcycle, and fit my work uniforms. I have a strong disincentive to avoid the stuff. 32-34 Ford to the left maybe? Neat old T Bird!
  3. I went to a greek Orthodox church with friends for Easter. Old callendar, so they were not celebrating easter.
  4. It was epic hiking, we clocked just over 13 miles, 32,000 steps. Yeah, that really sucks. One of the worst part of being a dad is how irresponsible my son is as a 27 year old on the street. 2nd shot Friday for me. Looks fantastic.
  5. Shadbush trail at Salt Fork State park, where Kim my wife and I are hiking tomorrow.
  6. Interesting buick content at the nine minute mark.
  7. Suddently it's 1970 again...
  8. I almost got run over by a mack truck merging onto US 23... Half the car rusted away you have Vinton County Ohio. If it had been 70 years ago and a woodie, termites.
  9. I really want to see that come out.
  10. Yeah. Maybe we could archive most of the automotive stuff and have just an intimate chat about our lives. I would love to hear about YKX's new Mustang, your adeventures on your bike, Balthazars Buick, etc. It's almost like everyone here has lost interest in cars. Very little being built now interests me, hence my interest in motorcycles. But I ahve been so bosy woodworking, I don't know how much I can add to my life. Add Hiking and reading into the mix, and my days are very full. I need a reason to like cars again to get passionate about the place. Not seeing one. Maybe C and G can be reborn as a motorcycle and travel forum-TC Bob likes travel, few guys here like bikes, I don't know what to do. Actually I am hoping you will become a bad boy when the Buick gets done and give it the thrashing of its life. Regards from Ohio, Your friend.....! Christopher Why I have switched to loving trains, woodworking machinery, aviation, maritime history, etc. for my machine fix. VERY little rational or interesting discussion left on the internet anywhere of an automotive origin. Some 4WD sites are the exception. But I can only afford one expensive hobby. That's woodworking. I can't dump 40K into a Wrangler and dump 40K into building it. Buying a used DR650 Suzuki or KLR 650 Kawasaki for 4 grand and hitting the trails though....hmmmmm.....
  11. I agree. While not meaning to be political, I do think the previous adminsitrations rhetoric about bringing jobs back is a huge step in the right direction. I also think the current adminsitrations infrastructure plan and a reliance on domestic products for it is another step in the right direction. This is one of the reasons I bought the Ranger, if you want American manufacturing here, at some point you need to vote with dollars and buy American products. Still as frustrated as ever about American foreign policy regardless of the adminstration....but at some point you just need to vote with $ and buy American. From Scioto Grove, the park where I hike nearest my house. This spot is especially tranquil.
  12. From where my son is hiking Saturday, snow will be gone but... https://www.alltrails.com/trail/us/washington/granite-creek-trail--2?ref=header
  13. This air traffic controller is an asshole, should be fired. No way to act when people's lives are on the line.
  14. It was a segment leader in 1972....
  15. I have always been interested with this ship...a good watch.
  16. It's still an amazing car. But one could rationalize a lot of other purhcase decisions. Norway: 57 Roadmaster.
  17. Astonishingly creative and beautiful, Jacques Veserey made this in one of my online woodworking groops. Cool... The bottom...
  18. On the contrary, resale and the available V6 could sell me on the Camry, Altima is an easy target for people who don't like mainstream cars but it is vastly improoved, Mazda 6 has sublime handling, the Sonata is attractive and (non car geek people) people seem to just love Hyundai products. The Subaru was a really good AWD system. The Accord is not nearly as sporty, even in Sport trim as a Jetta GLI. The Turbo 1.5 I don't think is going to be especially reliable long term, and again, talking with body shop people and my claims adjsuter daughter, the tubo 4 is easily damaged in accidents, frequently resulting in a total loss. For the price of a new Accord, one can buy a nearly new or CPO luxury sedan. Just playing contrarian. Also, nothing in that segment is especially inspired. Jetta GLI is as close as anything gets to inspring. So inspring in fact that after considering the GLI hard, I bought a truck instead. If only the rest of the product lineup was anywhere close to as inspired as the GTR Couple of sexy well dressed men for those so inclined.
  19. 57 Ford on the right really just has the look, bravo on the picture. One good 50's Ford deserves another one.
  20. Truck is getting a workout. The smaller log I got out by putting black iron pipes under it and rolling it out....the larger log I am going to have to cut down paritally in the bed. I may need to get an hoist if I keep working with large logs. I could also see building some sort of shop made gantry crane...
