Quick Drive: 2020 Mazda MX-5 Miata Grand Touring
A Horse With No Name replied to William Maley's topic in Reviews
I can relate to the Mustang thing. To me it's even more iconic as an American car than the Corvette. Thought hard about one when I bought the Ranger, but really needed a truck. Serious gut check moment every time I walked past a Mustang at a Ford dealer when I was truck shopping.- 20 replies

It may well fill a slot in my driveway next to the Ranger when the Ranger is paid off. Loved my first two, would happily be a third for me.- 20 replies

Some good Jazz for Monday... On the automotive front, would love to have been alive in the early 60's for those cars. Many of them are far better designs than even the later sixties cars. I miss seventies cars also. This could park in the library lot while I was reading inside as a kid...Neat survivor.

Yeah. Got my Stereo set back up, listening to a ton of new music and re discovering a bunch of old stuff. Friend gave me an Onkyo TX-NR 808 AV reciever for my living room system. Moved a sofa for them, seemed like a fair trade. Shame to just use it for two channel use, but it pushes two speakers as well as it pushes 11. Looking at a couple of Magnepan LRS speakers for my family room system, would need to upgrade my Carver Amp to something that would run 4 Ohms of Impedance. Would love to find an old Adcom 555 or the like. Pre AMp is Emotiva, they and outlaw audio build some nice amps. I like buying from smaller comanies. While this seems to be getting away from cars, here is a link to the LRS I am auditioning Saturday morning. Why can't everyday cars have this level of design coolness? https://www.magnepan.com/model_lrs

We could get lost for days. I love her voice.

Other than the Civic Type R, and to a lesser extent the Civic SI, everything they build is inspired by a carboard box viewed through the viewpoint of a meth addict in a Vinton county Ohio Trailer park. And that is being generous. More generic than the plastic container I dipped hummus out of last night for dinner. Please don't become so desperate in your automotive tastes that you will give extra credit to an effort that deserves a "32" on a scale of 1 to 100. A mid 70's Cutty or Big Plymouth Fury awaits your love. This deserves your dog giving a golden shower in a Walmart parking lot. The Bolt is so ugly it's kinda cute, like a bulldog. Honda design is kinda lame, honestly.

Beautiful pic though. The latest mindless way to make people blow money on vehicles. Studebaker!

There are so many effing reasons to believe we actually went. https://youtu.be/UT23ogeC1nI

Parnelli! Neat old SCCA pics. Apologies to Balthazar that the vehicles are post war and pictured in color... Alan Kulwicki....Nasccar was much better back in the day.

It really does. We are such a creative and inqusitive speices. I find both beautiful, and queally desireable as a place to live. Give me Ohio. Phil Hill, his wife Sandy with the stop watches in the rear. A Cutlass, a Monte Carlo, and a T-Bird buried here somewhere. Did I say I liked Ohio for some reason?
