Why would the old host shut the forum down?

I find the little bit of white like in the picture up there blends well wth the aluminum bar across the gate...

What happened to the old forum exacly? I was Dans900 in the old one and my work had prevented my profile from accesing the site. Since this is a new one it is letting me access it again. I checked one night on my home computer and it was like gone 4 good..... what exacly happened that took it away?
