  1. hehe... those could be my answers too... But, i've learned to live with all those things. Maybe it's because I've already been tested on those subjects, and I no longer have to freak out about finals. yep, I second that........ finished my studies in summer of '04 in avionics
  2. Did anyone call 1-888-353-7667.... its Verizon's "Chrismahanukwanzakah" joke .... you guys should call this # it's absolutely hillarious!!!! and for you BV, chose option 3 for the Gay elf...... he'll make you laugh!
  3. well happy birthday BV and may the next year be beter than the last for you my friend!
  4. I love the sixteen........ breathtaking car.... ;-)
  5. Well written review, I must say....... I cant wait for the AWD and v-6 as well!!
  6. yep... that figure looks about right... I remember reading that somewhere.... In a certain arcticle I remember reading at the end said "if youre not convinced" dare to test drive one? And even on MSN autos in the section where ppl write reviews about a certain car, a number of ppl wrote that their perceptions were wrong and they were blown away (I presume by the turbo ;-) ) after a test drive and that is what persuaded them to buy... Honestly Balthazar, go to a Saab dealership and take a brand new 9-3 Arc for a spin....and yes the Arc because it is the middle of the line model that doesnt have the rough suspension but it does have the H/O Turbo engine......
  7. Thanks K, did you order a hoodie from Ducted?
  8. Kaylan and Balthazar...... I think the "indian head" you are reffering to is possibly the Griffin on the Saab logo? far from an indian........ Ironicaly, the Indian head or figure was pontiac's thing....... along with the arowhead.... ;)
  9. Nice work sixty-8........ I guess he means on the parcel shelf, wedged in the bottom of the window?!
  10. No electrical problems other than the stereo..... Doesnt like burned CD's and ever since then, its been fucked up. I'm now on my 4th warantied CD player and this one has no backlighting. went from one that would get scorching hot and sometimes backlighting to one that works perfect with no lighting to one that doesnt play any cds with perfect backlighting to one that plays anything with no backlighting..... I'm tired of the back and forth, I'll just keep this one and get an aftermarket one next year... had the TB replaced under warranty 2 months ago because the automatic Idle control is an electronic circut built in the TB and was fried..... caused the car to idle realy low everything else has been 100% since I got it in '04 the other one, the 900 I'm bringing up to snuff slowly but shurely..... right now I'm running on 3 of 4 brakes  since I accidentaly broke the left rear brake caliper when doing the pads........ I have a caliper off of my parts car that I'll be taking when I get the chance.... (dangerous  ) When she's washed and waxed, the paint on that '89 shines like brand new!!
  11. Ohhh, I love this one: something about its lines and front fasca tels me, comfort yet can take on anything B)
  12. and The 9-3
  13. They should realy bring the high power diesel to NA, I think it would sell rather well!
  14. Croc, I think you are right on the money with your thoughts on Pontiac and Saab........ Saab has yet to make a presence in the world and is a growing brand. If GM makes the right moves, Saab will grow up to be a great moneymaker for it's parents. GM hasn't realy started putting money into SAAB until recently.... now is time to watch it grow :)

    DANGER!

BV, sounds like you are getting man hungry by the day! :P
  16. yep... BV, I think that's prety much the same for me..... Ocnblu, your description pretymuch fits the same for me...
  17. Ya, they have used parts from other manufacturers... inluding engines..... but by engines, it was the engine block design. The ignition system was built for their aplication by Bosch, they do their own valvetrain and most of the engine is their doing. They basicaly take a skeleton model of another manufacturer that they co-develloped and then create their own version of the engine. this makes it more or less their engine. The block design on the other hand is shared or bought from another manufacturer. the 9000 was designed allongside 2 other european cars.... one being an alfa.. I think..... but the c900 and 99 were all saab and not shared with other cars. everything before that was as well. The Saab 99 turbo has to be by far one of my favourites! edit: Kaylan, I was browsing through cars for sale either on TSN or ebay and saw this cute little 900ems in light green in very good condition and was interested in getting it.... I didnt realize it was yours!!!
  18. .... everything was going great as I was scrolling down...................................... then I saw the Sting Ray....... ahhhhhhhhh what a beauty.... and yep, an orgasm on the spot!
  19. Good idea Kaylan, I'd like saab to get on with the 9-2 and make it one of the fewer 100% Saab vehicle, made entirely of Saab parts and design with an engine offered exclusively for that car.... a fiew GM electronic bits are ok. Bring in a competitor for the volvo XC90..... a beefed up 9-5 with AWD... or something in that direction...
  20. I hate the 9-2x and like you say .... holds no value... as far as the 9-5 goes..... in style it may be 5-6 years overdue but anyone who buys a brand new 9-5 does get a "new" car...... as fair as I see it, they are getting a "proven" car.... (If it aint broke don't fix it) .... but ya, a major styling re-do is definately needed...
  21. My dad gets 35-45 MPG with his 2003 9-3 arc, automatic. (arc being the 210HP variant) he can maintain those figures when he's driving decently sensible..... but still has fun !
  22. do you have any figures for fuel economy between the 2?
  23. yep, and my DI is still intact and running great..... I've received my notice and they'll be inspecting it in march
  24. the only reason why the 9-2x is being mentioned in allot of releases is because they are gona keep making them up till 2007...... I hope that most of you guys who like to do a bit of "Saab bashing" have already went for a test drive....before you start talking crap <_< Harley earl has done his homework, time for everyone else to get a tase for it too.... HarleyEarl, what was your thought on Saab before you went for a drive? Could it have resembled Fly brian's reply?
