  1. Well it's not like Epsilon II is the basis for a new minivan and sports car..... at the moment, it's still just a bunch of sedans. You'd be right about the CD4 though.
  2. Very often, "that other site" can be just as wrong as we have been in the past. This: One of the major complaints of the current Malibu is the lack of navigation system. To clarify once again for everyone, navigation will NEVER be added to the current Malibu. The reason behind that is simple: the wiring structure of the Epsilon I platform that underpins the car does not support navigation and the costs to rewire the whole car exceed the potential return. Is simply incorrect.
  3. Since you all were discussing the 300 so much, I took some video of it at the Philly auto show. Subscribe to the C&G Youtube channel, I have a bunch of additional videos coming.
  4. isn't that their primary revenue stream?
  5. Yet again. The Malibu is using an Opel tuned chassis and styled in the U.S. It is not a GM-DAT product. Chevy's smaller stuff like the Sonic and Spark are.
  6. It was the declared reason for the Cruze. Reuss said as much when he decided to push the Cruze launch back in the U.S.
  7. Haven't they had quality issues with just about every vehicle that ever comes out of that plant? might want to start with a fresh sheet of paper AND I'm certain that Chattanooga is going to be used for more than just the Passat in the future.
  8. saves on shipping, they should have just gotten an Amazon Prime account.
  9. other manufacturers do it too.
  10. Introducing your new Buick Forum Moderator: Croc
  11. Which means Korea is getting an American car. Not the other way around.
  12. uh... what? This is an Epsilon II platform... designed mostly in the U.S. with a bit of help from the Germans. The next Malibu is a restyled Regal, which makes is more German than Korean. Jim doesn't look Korean to me. Not that there's anything wrong with that.
  13. I sat in a lower level 300 with cloth trim at the Philly auto show. It's not at all the typical cloth you're used to in almost any car. It feels almost as if it is a fleece. I'm not sure how well it will hold up (that's not a knock, I really don't know about durability), but it feels very nice and is definitely a departure from the cloth in other cars.
  14. this is why you get beat on so much here. Unless you're in a police cruiser, hitting 120mph in an emergency means you pressed the wrong pedal.
  15. Convertible enters production in February. My talk with Scott was about an hour ago. I'll let you know what I got.
  16. Dwight?
  17. Reg, how long before your squeamishness of shooting someone's picture with a BB gun spills over into squeamishness of digitally shooting a "likeness" in a video game?
  18. I don't think you could do a Cruze hybrid. The Verano is getting that one, it suits the pricing more.
  19. What's the rear suspension setup in the Cruze? If' it's watts link like the Verano, AWD would be very costly if not impossible without an entirely new rear suspension
  20. That's also why it feels plenty zippy at city speeds.
  21. Questions for Scott Settlemire I'm going to a Camaro event tomorrow showcasing the Camaro convertible and hosted by Scott Settlemire. What questions do you want me to ask?
  22. I haven't driven one yet, but I'd take this.
  23. It's still all American. GM is just testing it for defects in another country where its success is less critical before releasing it in their most important market.
  24. I found replacement mirrors for the CR-V on ebay. It was 3 screws and a wire harness to install.
  25. The interior is a complete head and shoulders above the previous one. I hated the interior on the first generation LX cars. The new one is nice enough that I'd actually consider buying one.
