  1. Interactive Review: 2011 Cadillac CTS Coupe Stock photo shown While I work on the final review from your questions during the 2011 Buick Regal interactive review, Cadillac kindly dropped off this 2011 Cadillac CTS Coupe Premium Collection. This particular example was dropped off with over 5,000 miles on the clock and the tires have already had a severe beating at the hands of other automotive journalists. Still, this car is already too much fun. Rear visibility isn't great, but also isn't as bad as I thought it would be. One note right off the bat to GM: In a car with already limited visibility, why would you equip it with a center mirror that isn't large enough to see out the entire width of the already too small rear window? Fire away with your questions! 2. good god! The second time in a week that I agree with CSpec on something political..... I need to go lie down.
  3. Or Federal law.... you mean. Showing the passport is just one of MANY options to show proof of eligibility of employment on the I-9 Form. It just happens to be the most convenient.
  4. You carry your passport with you all the time? I don't. Oh look, (you have a tail light out on the Colorado)/(where going 57 in a 55)/(weren't wearing your seatbelt)/(pulled up to a DUI checkpoint)/(looked suspicious walking around the neighborhood)/(vehicle inspection is one day overdue)/(your exhaust system doesn't sound legal)/(your right front tire is low).... we'll have to take you down to the station while we figure out your immigration status. You know as well as I do that cops can make up ANYTHING or even NOTHING AT ALL as an excuse to stop you.
  5. It's not a racial thing. EVERYONE has to show eligibility of employment in the U.S. The difference here is that refusing to show the passport only costs you the job, it doesn't get you arrested and locked in jail while the cops "figure out" your immigration status for 3 days.
  6. Wind generation can be had for 10 cents per kwh today..... in PA that would be a cost increase, but in CA, it sounds like a substantial discount.
  7. What is new about Honda's IMA other than growing a bit in power? Don't get me wrong, I like the IMA in the Civic a lot, but the basic setup has been around since 2000... and nearly identical setup with just performance tweeks since the 2003 Civic Hybrid.
  8. I thought much of CA's electricity was imported in from other states. Just looked at my electric bill and your situation is roughly similar to mine. I get a slight discount on generation costs due to who I work for.
  9. Micheal is a good guy and I encourage everyone on C&G with a recent model vehicle to sign up and participate in the survey, it's a much more effective survey than CR. Naturally, those of us with 30 year old Oldsmobiles won't get counted.
