  1. That does look good. Looks quite small compared to the current Escape.
  2. I use my noggin.
  3. Tesla is catching up to MB quickly.
  4. ^This. As I said, I read an article with a critical eye and look for things to pick apart.
  5. As that article says... bias and accuracy are two different things. Rachel Maddow is incredibly biased... but generally her facts are on point and she issues retractions/corrections if she finds out she is wrong. Fox news is also incredibly biased, but when they get it wrong, they get it really wrong and rarely ever issue retractions or corrections. NPR seems to at least try to remain impartial by inviting those on both sides to be interviewed, but that can often lead to nutjobs getting equal airtime with "specialists".
  6. You're probably right. The Navigator is just so good in the other areas that I think people should give it a chance.
  7. It could be that... I guess... but then people really gotta drive it because it feels like a V8. Well... .what you can feel of it at all. It just has a lot of pull.
  8. I thought I explained myself quite clearly. I look at everything with a critical eye. Refusing to even look at something because of the source (outside of extremist stuff) is what I have a problem with. If you don't want to give CNN the ad revenue, put on an ad blocker (and whitelist us). All of the new outlets source news and op-eds from multiple places. So while one may lean left or right, is it just a lean. I'm still curious which news outlet you think is completely unbiased. I don't think one exists. So if you refuse to read any unbiased news sources, then you're actively choosing to remain ignorant. Read, absorb, form your own opinion.
  9. RAV4 changed models this year. The new hybrid may not be as much in circulation yet.
  10. I knew the G70 was a very late intro this year, but ouch. They made a mistake not leading off with an SUV or 7.
  11. Mitsubishi just might pull it out of the hat if they can get a couple more products out there.
  12. Volvo is in such a transition year with the 60 series switching over. Still, year over year performance looks good.
  13. All of these sedans with ~20% drops in sales. It's a new reality.
  14. Is the Optima the only one not experiencing a huge drop in sales? They kept it relatively flat compared to some of the competition.
  15. Frontier keeps right on selling like the new Tacoma, Canyon, and Colorado never happened. Just like everyone else, all of the cars (except LEAF) are catastrophically down. The entire Infiniti lineup just barely outsold the Tesla Model 3.
  16. That's why I didn't take a position on the article as a whole.... only that some very good points were made. China is taking other countermeasures though.
  17. yeah, we were talking about the V8s though... those can go as low as 2 cylinders.
  18. I'd read either one with a critical eye. Dismissing the source is lazy unless it is some extremist website. In this case, the author doesn't even work for CNN, but for Invesco, a major investment firm. CNN is just where the story is published. Again, I read this particular article... and while I'm not agreeing or disagreeing with the overall conclusion, the author does make some good points that really can't be disputed (President of China is president for life, can play the long game. China controls the rare-earth mineral market, can cut off US buyers. Quotes from CEO of Alcoa saying that tariffs are hurting profitability. China can depreciate the yuan to counteract the tariffs. China can manipulate the sale of US debt.) I wonder where you do get your news if you think both CNN and Fox are BS.
  19. Porsche is basically an SUV brand now with a couple of sports cars thrown in just for history sake.
  20. Those sedan/hatchback numbers are just murderous.... no wonder they are cutting back on production. Pruis down nearly 20%? I guess it doesn't help that its ugly instead of just dull.
  21. Nice to see Mazda up overall for the year. I hope the 2020 Mazda 3 they showed at the LA Auto Show gains some traction for them.
  22. Accord down 10% for the year, Civic down 13%, Fit down 28%. These are widely considered to be the best in their class. Tells you why Ford, GM, and FCA have started phasing out their car lineups.
  23. RAM, Jeep, and Dodge the only ones up. People still buying lots of Chargers and Journeys... Nearly 100k Journeys moved last year.... I wonder why there isn't a replacement for that one yet?
  24. Some pretty major red marks for Ford brand. Car sales down 27%! At least Lincoln is trending upwards. I'm really surprised the Navigator is being so slow to pick up. It's still selling half of what the Escalade sells even though it is now the better vehicle.
