  1. It doesn't have a battery cooling system.... what did Nissan expect?
  2. There are new engines coming to replace the series-0 engines in the Sonic and Cruze. I would think you'll see the performance improvements when those arrive.
  3. Smk, you don't know how much in agreement we are right now, but you will on Wednesday.
  4. I've hidden some posts in this thread for story reasons and will reactivate them after the story is published.
  5. As diesels continue to become more prevalent, the jugs of diesel engine exhaust fluid (asI've already seen them marketed) will be as common as bottles of washer fluid.
  6. You say that now, but when you're 70 with grandkids...
  7. I tend to like well styled cars that are different in their class from the mainstream somehow. There isn't a lot you can do with a minivan to make it look different and special, but I think Nissan hits closest to that mark here.
  8. What this tells me is they can't make the Z-car platform any smaller/lighter without a total re-design.
  9. Apollo
  10. Map lights - check auto headlamps - check foglamps - at least optional auto dimming mirror - check temp/compass - not in mirror, but yes they are there 6 disc - changers are being phased out across all manufacturers, sorry cloth - probably leather or leatherette standard sunroof - will be your choice
  11. I'm a fan of the exterior look. I think it looks much more upscale than its competitors. I haven't spent any time inside one to know much about the interior.
  12. Agreed. I think the torque will hit low and be very usable. 158 hp is 12 less than the current car though, would have been nice if this new engine was more like 170 hp and 185 lb-ft. They won't even notice the HP loss if the torque comes on strong enough down low. In fact, it might even end up feeling faster.
  13. That That has nothing to do with the torque band and everything to do with the transmission ratios.
  14. The camino.
  15. Of the Japanese, only the LS has survived
  16. Do a turbo-supercharger direct injected setup
  17. The Falcon looks downright Soviet.... how did Ford move so many of them? Price?
  18. One wonders if you could get the 2.0T Ecotec in there.... and then one wonders if the frame could handle the torque.
  19. Now is the time for them to go crazy with engine tech to make the worlds most awesome 4-cylinder.
  20. These are first attempts at luxury cars from both of these companies. The original Lexus LS was an S-class knock off, the Infiniti Q had a profile like a 7-series, and the Acura Legend wasn't that far off from an Audi 5000 in look though they did differ in size.
  21. I like that manufacturers are starting to focus on low end torque for their smaller engines. To put it in perspective, that 1.8t has more torque than the DI 2.4 Ecotec from GM and I'm willing to bet that the torque comes on much sooner as well.
  22. I like the looks of this car better than the Genesis...
  23. the naming schemes at BMW are just getting ridiculous....
  24. Keep your head up for a Turbo Verano then.
