The engine information I put in was incorrect. I have fixed it above.

That is one of the worst steering wheels I have ever seen. I think the Aura is perfect competition for the Altima, but as someone said before I put the Aura slightly above it. That is in terms of interior and exterior design. Who knows the Aura could stomp all over the Altima in terms of driving.

SATURN REVEALS SKY REDLINE

Will GM be unveiling any other vehicles in New York ? -

Pretty Cool for a Saturn. Photoshopped rear badges though. -
SATURN AURA RADIATES STYLE, REFINEMENT
CadillacCTS replied to Northstar's topic in New York International Auto Show (NYIAS)
Finally GM learns that you need to put side airbags in as standard equipment! I love the interior and all the LED lighting. GM has finally listened and this car should take a bite out of Camry sales. Welcome back GM. -
That was my first thought about it to. I think the poor lighting and the angle of the shot hide the gap.

I have had enough with all the negative people on this website. THE AURA IS NOT A DUMBED DOWN VERSION OF THE VECTRA. THE BASE VECTRA IS IDENTICAL TO THE AURA THAT WE HAVE SEEN. BASE VECTRA THE FOGLIGHT OPENINGS ARE THE SAME, SO ARE THE GRILLS AND THE FRONT BUMPER IS ALSO THE SAME. THE AURA IS THE VECTRA AND IDIOTS ON THIS WEBSITE ARE ALWAYS LOOKING ON THE BAD SIDE. YOU WANTED THE VECTRA YOU GOT IT. UPLEVEL VECTRA EITHER THE REDLINE OR AN UPLEVEL VERSION OF THE AURA WILL LOOK JUST LIKE THE UPLEVEL VECTRA SO LETS STOP COMPLAINING ABOUT A PRODUCT THAT GM FINALLY BROUGHT OVER FROM EUROPE. THE AURA IS GOING TO DOMINATE THE MID SIZE CAR MARKET. END OF STORY.
-
After reading other websites regarding these pictures, it has apparantly been confirmed that this is a base Aura. Thats why at the bottom of the picture it highlights that the engine is only 248hp.
-
Maybe GM will add a "sport" model, other than the redline, and bring back the concept front end.
-
I'm thinking that the Aura Concept is what the Aura Redline will look like. Bolder, more aggressive front end and pronounced wheel flares. I can't believe they would change the front end from the concept. The car doesn't look half as good.

I was just on my GM Access vehicle locator looking for a 2007 Yukon for a customer. So I set the model year to 2007 and was looking through the list for the Yukon when I saw at the bottom of the list "TV14526 ACADIA AWD". So I'm thinking that the Acadia might actually be a 2007 model.

GM Canada announces name change of Pursuit to G5
CadillacCTS replied to CadillacCTS's topic in Heritage Marques
I thought the same thing, but reading further into the article sent to dealers, GM couldn't obtain the rights to the name "Pursuit" in the US. -
Attention Dealer Operator and General Sales Managers, On February 13, 2006, GM announced that it will be introducing a Pontiac small car for retail sale in the U.S., effective MY 2007. This small car will be named the Pontiac G5 and is the same vehicle that GM sells in Canada as a Pontiac Pursuit. The G5 will be available in the U.S. in SE and GT models and as a coupe only. To maximize communication and production efficiencies with the U.S., GMCL has made the decision to change the name of the Pontiac Pursuit to Pontiac G5 effective MY07.

Now if Saturn only had the dealers to get the product out....then GM would see things turn around. Saturn is getting all this new amazing product but doesn't have the dealers to make these products high volume. GM needs good high volume cars. The Saturn designs seem to be there, but the capacity is not.

Yup, that display was in Detroit too.

Chicago Auto Show Saturn Debut
CadillacCTS replied to CreativeVision's topic in Chicago Auto Show (CAS)
Maybe GM is trying to play a trick on us. Maybe the Aura in Detroit was actually the production version and GM is going to unveil it as " we tried to trick you and the 'concepts' that were in LA and Detroit are the production versions of the car". Just to prove to people that they didn't water it down. That will be one hell of a car if it looks like the concept. -
I have seen the Avalanche in real life at a dealer conference in September and the front ends are different.

Well after seeing the Saturn Aura in Detroit today, I think the Camry finally has some competition. Although it was only the concept version, I dont think GM will make many changes to it. Here is some comparo pictures: Exterior: Camry.... ...Or Aura Interior: Camry Aura I know I would take the Aura over the Camry anyday!

You are 100% right. We got the dealer breakdown of the pricing today and you are right, the MSRP has changed, but invoice is the same.

Yup your right, I just confirmed in the Canadian order guide and the 18 inch wheels are standard. Your engine numbers are right on too. Added today to all of the G6 options was new "Driver and Passenger Seat Side Airbags", but dont worry you can also still get the package of both "Driver and Passenger Seat Side and Side Head Curtain Airbags". ** Heated Cloth Seats Were Added As A New Option On All G6's Today ***
