  1. Oh I don't think the front looks anything like the Impala. Though it looks a little narrow in this image, but I think that it is the angle and cropping that does it, as the spy shots did not look that way to me.
  2. No I think this is an official GM release, as most everything on autodeadline (the old Wieck) is. I think they are just trying to drum up some publicity for the car...
  3. I saw it in The Car Lounge first, but it is on autodeadline as well, with this caption: The all-new Chevrolet Malibu will be unveiled at the 2007 North American International Auto Show in Detroit, it was confirmed by General Motors Tuesday, November 21, 2006. The 2008 Chevy Malibu will offer a variety of progressive interiors featuring premium materials that elevate the car to a new level of refinement in the mid-size car segment.
  4. Nice looking... I like the two tone Click here for high-resolution image ------------------------ FOR RELEASE: 2006-11-21 Chevrolet to unveil all-new 2008 Malibu in January DETROIT, Mich. – Chevrolet confirmed today that the all-new 2008 Malibu will be unveiled in January at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit and released a sneak peek of one of the car’s available two-tone interiors, which demonstrates a new level of refinement in the extremely competitive mid-size car segment. “The next-generation Chevrolet Malibu's interior showcases the precision and detailed execution that will differentiate it among the mid-size car segment,” said Ed Peper, Chevrolet General Manager. “The 2008 Chevy Malibu will offer a number of striking and progressive interiors that use premium materials to demonstrate quality and value not seen before in this segment.” In the sneak peek photograph, the roomier Malibu cabin showcases Chevy's classic dual cockpit design. The new Malibu builds on the success of its current model, which garnered many awards such as the 2005 J.D. Power Initial Quality Award and the 2006 Insurance Institute for Highway Safety “Top Safety Picks” silver medal.
  5. This interior should be in the USDM STS, and I think they should bring the 4" longer SLS here as well. The added length really helps the look of the car, and differentiates it from the CTS so much better. Why should China get a better top of the line Cadillac sedan than the US does, that makes no sense GM. Fix it.
  6. Here is the new 4 door Astra, which looks just like the Chevy Vectra from Brasil... I think this is going to make a nice Saturn.
  7. Not the greatest image, but you can definitely make out some Saab characteristics in this new CUV. To be based on Epsilon 2 / Theta platform with a 250hp 2.8V6 and turbo charged 300hp version as well. To be made in Mexico and introduced in Spring 2008 as a MY2009 model. This model will spell the end of the 9-7X. Here is the image blown up, gets very pixilated though..
  8. Funny I have now been seeing about 3 or 4 a week lately up here in Boston, though this is Saab territory so not that surprising...
  9. I am not sure what all the intrigue is with this model, we already knew exactly what it would look like as the Opel version has already been released. I think it is much better looking than the current Vue, but I think the Chevy Captiva version of this trucklet sold in Europe is actually better looking. New Antara and here is the Captiva
  10. these are from Autoexpress..
  11. In reality the new heating system with dials, looks a lot like my old 1987 Turbos' I think this looks pretty good, and it looks like a Saab to me, but what would I know as I have only owned 3.
  12. Interesting that no one had these complaints when viewing the BLS interior, which has the exact same radio unit. This image also shows what the Nav. system will look like.
  13. Found this over at trollhatan...
  14. I found it on Left Lane News, but also found this similar shot showing the sketch from the opening of the new GM Design Center in Germany, with Brian Nesbitt.
  15. not sure how real this is, but it does look a fair amount like the Aero X concept, which is supposed to be the inspiration for the next 9-5. I think this is pretty hot, so go for it Saab.
  16. Here are more pictures, this time of the Opel version in a better color... I think this will do pretty well for Saturn, it cetainly is a more modern looking than the current Vue, if not necessarily as distinctive. It fits in with the other new Saturns, so this, the Astra, Aura, and Outlook make a pretty nice start for a line-up. I wonder if they will now drop the Relay hopfully as the Outlook is the people hauler. I would like to see Saturn bring the Twin Top over as well, since it is pretty hot too.
  17. It is just a Edmunds sketch I think, and the car is not a Maxx based vehicle. It is based on an extended Theta platform to be shared with Saab and maybe Buick, and would be built in Mexico. It would seat 7, and come with the 3.6L V6. It could end up being a really nice car. Though I think the sketch is jus tpure conjecture at this point.
  18. Not too bad looking, we will have to see what it really looks like.
  19. Is this the new Ion or Aura in the pic, and does anyone have a clue what the sport utility in the top left is???
  20. I saw the 9-5 last night, and thought it looked ok, not any better than it does in pictures. Now the 9-3 SportCombi on the other hand looked great. The Saab display was a little hohum, not too many cars, just the new 9-5 in sedan form, a 9-3 cornvetible, SportCombi, two 9-3 sedans, and a 9-7X, no 9-2X in sight.
  21. yeah I saw a new 2006 one in red at the dealer in New London Ct on Saturday, it is a nice color.
  22. Found this shot, thought you all might be interested...
